This video has fixed audio.
In this video I restore a Frederick Fenney razor from the 1820s. It dates back to the time of the wild weld and predates the time of Wyatt Earp. This is a rare piece and deserves a restoration. So relax and enjoy and ASMR styled restoration of a piece of history.
History of this razor:
Fenney Frederick, Razor Manufacturer, 27 Townhead-street Sheffield. Frederick Fenney was apprenticed to a razor maker in 1813, became a razor maker in his own right in 1822 and was granted the 'Tally-Ho' mark in 1833. He died on 25th of March 1852. A 'gentleman and merchant' called Charles Thomas Bingham bought the famous mark and razors continued to be manufactured with 'C. T. Bingham late F. Fenney' stamped on them. Bingham sold the Tally-Ho works in 1863, and George Wostenholm bought the rights to the famous mark.

Either 200 years old or close to it and that razor will work as well today as it did back then. Thanks to you and the fact that things back then were built to last, if one took the proper care of them........

I used a t-connector from some cheap plastic tubing for sanding the inside of the blades. With double stick carpet tape to hold the sandpaper. The connector matched the curve of the blade and seemed safer, keeping fingers away for rusty blades. Very nice work.

Wyatt Earp died on January 13, 1929 - a year after the first television station (WRGB) started broadcasting. This razor might have been 15 years old already when Earp was born.

Wyatt Earp was born in 1848 so he would not be shaving until about 1864🤔 of course could have been his father’s razor👍

If only that blade could talk. Lol. You'd know who owned it when it was new.

How did it shave before the restoration?! Love your videos. Would love to own a razor like this but I’d likely slit my throat!
