what I just watched is someone making something out of nothing and the something now has value. I do these also and know what goes into one of these. if that razor goes up for sale It should bring a fair price. I would say around $150 up. if it doesn't sell it stays in my personal collection. good job sir 💈

I know I’m a little late to this video, but it sounds like a P-51 is getting ready to do some work in the background. What was going on?

F#ckin BEAUTIFUL! ❤😂. Since Im compulsive about polishing. I would have gone further with the sandpaper on polishing the metal starting with a "Micro Mark" wheel or 600 grit auto paper working a little more of the pitting out, and going all the way to 2000 grit. I wet sand and wet hone EVERYTHING. I hone my blades under water in the sink. Sometimes back stropping them on each stone grit after each progression all the way up to 12k. Eager to start playing with balsa wood/glass strops and .50 and .25 micron diamond pastes. Then going through the necessary polishing compounds with the buffing wheels. Same with the wood. Would have went from 1000 to 2000 grit on the auto paper. Polished the scales ftom 1k to 2k, then maybe sealed them with a poly and buffed it out to 2k, auto rubbing compound, polish and wax. But i get the linseed oil. More rustic and true to origin. I havent repinned any scales yet. Just improved the external surfaces. Whats you're methods in removing old pins without damaging the piece? I want to high shine everything including the tang. Also? Why not use a small brass punch to drive the new pins in. Then ball peen them?

Ahh. Electrolysis methods. I do this with vintage cast iron skillets and a Schumacher Manual select at 2 amps. Q.Q. why is the solution red and what is it? Ive used specifically Washing Soda or Sodium Carbonate and not Bi Carbonate for electrolyte production.

Just food coloring to make it red to look better in the video.

My grandparents had a washing machine in the 1930s & 1940s that they hooked up to the rear drive hub on their Ford (Model A?) by a series of pulleys & belts. They had no electricity in their part of the state until the 1950s. My dad said it worked very well. Friends & neighbors traded goods & services to have a chance to do their laundry with that machine.
