I Bought an Computer From Goodwill for 10$
Is it any good, does it work? today I tested this practically junk machine, Installed Linux, now it runs better then some of today's new pc's

Damn that's really old, cool restoration though. You don't need matching ram it helps the machine if they are matching. Another thing I would recommend is puting new thermal paste in

@@SpruceHouse in how tech advances it is old. Even if thermal paste isn't in the budget it like $7 and will allow it to proform better just try to be helpful. You don't need to be rude abt it

I bought earlier this year a HP 8300 USDT, fitted with a 3rd gen i5, 8 gigs o' laptop ddr3 ram, half a terabyte SATA HDD, DVD writer and an external PSU. It is so small, it can be mounted using the VESA mounts on back of a monitor. Has a mini-PCIe port and a mSata SSD port with the only downside is you can't fit normal low profile graphics cards, you need a MXM card or you can do what I did and picked a couple pounds PCIe to mSATA riser card and I shoved in a 750Ti, its a bit janky but works lovely and is quite a capable little machine. I paid £20 delivered off ebay for it and I use it to store all my watchmaking files and run one of my microscopes through it in my workshop. I also have all my retro emulators set up on it, plays most stuff AOK.
