Overall not a bad stay, nothing that was really that unsafe, tho i may be dramatic about it in the video, the airbnb itself was a 9/10 was trip was 8/10 would recommend, we had a good time.

The black stuff is iron mixed with activated charcoal. It gives off heat when the exothermic oxidation of iron makes rust.

The main problem with ultra-cheap laptops in bad condition is that restoring them will cost a lot more than buying a good example. BTW. the laptop is a Dell XPS, which were considered high-end and were pretty expensive back in the day. And Centrino was a marketing name used by Intel, used for laptops that had an Intel Core Duo CPU and an Intel WiFi card. Centrino 2 was similar, but with a 64 bit Core 2 Duo CPU.

Erasable programmable read only memoey. Eprom. Remove sticker and the chip will have to he destroyed due to light pollution..under sticker there is a port/window to the silicone die and probably silver bond wires. Now obsolete but still a very cool chip. I have many in my collection

It's iron oxide it's mostly harmless. (highly refined rust) it reacts with oxygen and makes heat. It's not poisonous.

If all of the sliders are the same size, you might be able to reach out to some one with a 3D printer to make a replacement for the volume slider. Also if your cleaning out the small crevices of something like the keyboard using a toothpick can be helpful for getting into those harder to reach areas. This was a really well made video, I really enjoyed it.
