One man's trash is another man's treasure... This old piece of junk was worth the effort of restoring.
I hope you enjoy! I know it isn't woodturning, but there is a little woodworking and plenty of sparks too.

Good evening, Rod. This should be easy. That's how I start similar projects. Next thing I know, I made 10 trips to the shop and have 12 more tools and beginning to re-think the whole thing. Good to see rebuild instead of replace. First though was use that you would use Marine plywood. Sorry- just couldn’t resist. Always enjoy your projects, still need a eraser to go with the pencil. God bless.

We have an old Radio Flyer wagon with the wooden body, I have already replaced the bottom once 20 or so years ago. looks like its about time to redo the entire wagon.

Looks great! I love the green. You didn’t say if you did or not, but if you drill 2 or 3 holes in the lowest part of the bottom, it won’t rot nearly as fast.❤️🤗🐝

Nicely done! It's always frustrating when the bolts are too rusted to remove, let alone reuse. I'd probably use some water repellant spray on the inside, though, just to keep it from warping, though that's a little 'extra,' I guess.

What type of wood you recommend/use for the cart?

I used 1/2" plywood... the least expensive I could find. I'll last a long time protected by the paint and is easily replaceable if it gets damaged.
