Welcome back to my channel! In this video, I'm excited to share the restoration of yet another vintage Trip Over Traps obstacle course game by TOMY. This classic game, where you guide metal balls past mechanical traps to reach the end goal, has been meticulously restored to its former glory.
During the restoration process, I replaced a few worn-out gears to ensure optimal functionality. Watch as I take you through each step of the restoration journey, showcasing the craftsmanship and dedication it takes to revive these nostalgic treasures.
If you're a fan of vintage toys or enjoy seeing restoration projects come to life, this video is for you. And if you’re interested in owning this beautifully restored piece, I’ve listed it on eBay for sale. Check out the link below!

Yeah, these made Christmas morning really noisy, but they sure were fun, and still are today. Now, even more so because of the time they represent.

This was called "AAAAGHH!" in the UK. Tomy also came out with a similar vertical puzzle game called "YEEAGHH!".

Very good! 👍👍👍 I purchased the same one. Lot of work. I noticed, that the different challenges within this game are not fully synchronised. Not like a clock. I used one of your forner videos to repair it. Thanks! 🙏Watches oil helped a lot.

Has anyone actually Improved the Chemestry behind those little white gears? Or will your replacements Also have to be swapped out eventually?
@RandiRain
@RandiRain Ай бұрын
Yes, in another 40 or so years, these will need to be replaced. Solution for that is metal gears, but that's not easy and cheap.

So this thing gets a 2nd lease on life as an even more devious puzzle where you have to figure out how to fix it and put everything back together again. Also a puzzle for the youtube viewer who is scratching their head and wondering what the heck is that thing and how do you play it. I guess we'll just have to wait until the end of the video to find out. And finally someone will buy it on eBay and experience the frustration first hand. Aaaarrrrggggg... 🙂👍

@@RandiRain I see I got one off of Amazon and it sucks but I saw yours and it looked so easy to heat up the solder and put the wire on with my one it takes a while to melt the solder

I do like to edit so that there is no lag. I'd rather the video be shorter than have filler. I think of it like movie editing, if it doesn't move the story along, it's cut.
