I took the carpets out of my e36 yesterday. I had to take so many things out just to end up cutting the carpets out😂😂 I do not blame you for keeping them in

If you want to take the back seat out in the future, there is a single bolt in the middle end of the seat. the front of the seat is hooked onto the frame. I think there are three of the metal hooks. Push towards the back of the car to unhook them.

I wanted to do this so bad since I used a cleaner that totally made my carpet in my suburban spotty looking. Totally pissed me off. I am so happy someone else tried this before I did. I probably wud have screwed this up too. But thank u for ur “let’s just go for it & see wut happens” tutorial. Now I have faith I can get this done. 🙏🏽💪🏽👍🏽😁

Looks awesome - gonna do this in tan to my Accord Wagon since the carpet is already out and the upholstery cleaner wouldn't get the stains out 100%.

I'm personally glad I removed my carpet because although I lost a couple trim clips in the process, I was able to clean not only the carpet 100% thoroughly but also the foam padding underneath which was the source of some bad smells so obviously it was not viable to keep it in the truck anymore unless it was sterilized. Like, in idk 15-20-25 years you only take it out and put it back in one time, so it's worth it if you have the time available
@ToledoDIY Жыл бұрын
Best way to do it is definitely removing it!

use suede/leather dye that as oil or glycol clean it dry. dye it dry. how ever you want to use it. it will dye everything even you. be careful let the dye dry then clean it with soap and water to get the extra dye out It may take a day or two to dry fully and also check the carpet with a white something. if it turns it a color it is not dry or there is still extra dye in it. if you do a seat cover off and do the process then wash it the washer and dryer not your home use one will dye the metal
