1) Your OD is self brain washed. 2) It is easier to get out of a mild prescription, now. 3) Angie is almost there, follow her.

I found this video a couple days ago by chance, then searched up Jake and have been practicing active focus since without glasses. Your husband's video also inspired me so much as I have almost the same miopia as he did. Also, I bought my first glasses online today, as I saw from another of your videos how easy it was for you to reduce your prescription that way and how inexpensive the glasses were! Can't wait to start the journey. This video educated me to search this method and will have a significant impact in my life! Thank you for sharing your experience!

I don't know if it is thanks to your husband or if you're just like that, but your scientific approach using measurable data is greatly appreciated. Too much videos saying "good for eysight" without actual proof, data or any way to see that it actually reverse myopia. Great it's working for you and keeps getting better and better.

You are stunning in terms of your persistence and good looks - and in your ability to get out of - 3.5 and - 4.5 diopters of myopia ( about 20/300 and 20/400 ). Now at 20/30 and 20/70, you are close to passing the State DMV test, with skill. Success garners success. People belive in you! Keep on going! I pray for your success - as do the people who follow you! No one can tell you what you should do - even now. I only state that at 20/50, I committed myself to long term plus wear ( and no minus ) and kept on doing it till I confirmed 20/25 to 20/15. Even so, I continue to wear the totally safe plus, for all close work.

I'm going to try this starting later this week or next week. I'm a genuine person with -4. something diopters. I'll come back and update my progress in a few months, I'll be back whenever it gets better or in 3 months, 6 months then 12 months. Angie you look so lovely and healthy, you have amazing skin, hair and your makeup is so flattering.

500 thumbs up. That and your current 20/30 and 20/70 is a success. You will have a lot of "nay sayers", no doubt. But you are on your way. For myself, when at 20/60, i quit the minus, and wore a +1.75 D for all reading. But I was free of the minus. Now it must be your choice - as to what to do next. It will take another 9 months, until you have clear flashes, on your bright Snellen. That is 20/40, with flashes - to 20/20. I am impressed by you!

I know you were struggling with the reduced lenses which prescription you should wear on. Could you share your own experience of the diopter ratio you are using? I read a lot posts from the endmyopia blog but I am still confusing and struggling about calculing how much I should reduced for my both eyes. You are using Jake's reducing1/4(0.25) or cliffgu's 1.00 for 20/50 glasses?You also say that most of time is yr stronger eyes work do hard and weaker eye doesn't . How do you solve this problems?

I started Jake’s 7 day program yesterday, and have read everything up to the 2nd day. Which of Jake’s program did you use? Do the reduction focus only on SPH? I have about sph -2.0 and about cyl -3.25 . Are the glasses only with reduced spheres? No cyl? Also, you are able to order “any” prescription you want from zenni? I used them years ago, and they would only fill a prescription given by an optometrist. Different now? Thanks for posting this video. It gives me some hope!

Great video. I started the Bates Method around 5 years ago and my vision went from -1.75 to -1.25. I would honestly say after a year I stopped doing the exercises as much due to just not having time and then work causing me to be on a pc constantly. So my progress was slow. Since then tho at least my vision has not worsened due to continuing some good habits I learned like distance looking and eye rotations for astigmatism. Now I am starting Jakes’s reducing method and am going to work on getting to 20/20. I only wear glasses when driving and sometimes other places outside of the house and work tho and have been dealing with the blur. I think I am tired of just dealing with what blur I have and Jake says that can actually cause eye stress. This week my snellen chart says my current -1.25 prescription gets me to 20/15, so I will reserve those only if I do night driving and just ordered -1.00 glasses for day. I honestly don’t mind if I take 6 months between reducing again, but I will definitely be working that horizon.

Jake Steiner I advocate prevention, at 20/60, but only Jake is effective - in helping people slowly get out of it. He has high scientific praise from me! Only Angie's self measuring her Snellen exceeding 20/40, both eyes open, will be real, scientific confirmation - of her objective success!

Sounds exciting. I've been doing some under-correction myself. Funny but when I read Bates, I remember him encouraging reading in low light, because it would force your eyes to relax to be able to see the book. A couple of times I got my prescription reduced in an eye by my doctor. One was after a lot of undercorrection focusing, and earlier I got a hyperoptic shift after a 36-hour fast. And there was a time when I sensed a general hyperoptic shift when I started drinking a lot of water (C.F. "Your Body's Many Cries for Water").

Hey Angie, I would be pleased if you awnsered this since I can't find a straight forward awnser to this. My question is that, does using technology effect your eyesight and seeing your progress I also want to know how much screen time you use per day. Thank you
@AngelaHepp
@AngelaHepp 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, any blue-light-emitting device does affect your eyesight over time. I work from home, and my business is almost 100% online, so I have to spend quite a bit of time on electronic devices. However, I never wear my glasses when I'm using my phone, I try to keep my screen at the edge of my "blur horizon," and I take frequent breaks where I look at something in the distance for several seconds. I also juice, avoid sugar and processed foods, and take supplements to protect my vision and support healthy eyesight.

@malkashayna 7 жыл бұрын
How much time do you work on active focus, which seems to be very similar to Nathan's chart and calendar drills? I found my way back to the first post on endmyopia.com, in which Alex showed an example of "average first month of day-to-day exercises from a recent client" with 90 minutes/day of focal plane. I am assuming that means active focus, but not sure. I posted the question on the facebook page, but did not get a response from anyone. Since you have been successful, just wondering how much time you spend on that. If you said it in your video, it must have gone over my head and I apologize in advance.
@AngelaHepp
@AngelaHepp 7 жыл бұрын
Marcia Karon I spend maybe 5 minutes a day practicing active focus with the Snellen. The rest of the time, active focus is involved in all of my day, since I try to focus on things just outside my blur horizon add much as possible. Just make it a habit, always seek active focus in everything you look at. :)

Hi, may I ask you a question? If you are wearing 20/50 eyeglasses during project, garden work etc since everything is blurry, how could you make yrself always do active focus exercises all the time ? Since it's really blurry , will our eyes become lazy and give up?
@AngelaHepp
@AngelaHepp 7 жыл бұрын
Baobao Xiao Actually, when I am outside in full sun (gardening, driving, etc.) I am seeing closer to 20/30, because of the increased ambient light. When I'm indoors, there is less light, so I am seeing closer to 20/50, but the distance at which I'm working is a lot smaller, too. So when I'm outdoors, I can see farther before there is a blur challenge than when I am indoors. Jake has a great video that explains this very well, it's called the "diopter bubble." Check out his KZfaq channel, it's very informative.

Angie Hepp do you always remind yourself doing active focus? For me, I need to push my eyes to stare at sth and keep opening yr eyes, at soke point I can see clearer. I am not sure whether that's call active foucus. And do you do active focus one eye by one eye or both eyes together? If it's possible could you share the link of Jake's blog about how to choose the right reduced diopter to 20/50? You lower -1,or -1.5 instead ? Thanks for yr fast response

Baobao Xiao. Angie took a powerful, objective step, 6 months ago. She passes the DMV requirement of 20/40. Her room Snellen is 20/70. Now she will work with these numbers, and both will improve. I have 20/20, and used the plus to come up from 20/50. Science based prevention - is what I call it. More power to insightful Angie. Only she can do it!

You can keep track of your progress in Help4Vision (www.help4vision.com). Just register, login (it's free) and go to "My Vision" and add your prescriptions. It will automatically draw graphic of your progress. You can also keep track of the glasses you have. In that way you do not need to write all this in a excel file which can get lost for example. You are also able to share all that information with other users so they can also keep track of your progress.

I find this journey or yours very interesting. when I was in my early 30's my vision over the years had gotten worse and worse... -525 in one eye -550 in the other...with a stigmatism in one of my eyes. I was frustrated and my vision had changed year after year to the point (was blind as a bat getting out of bed before getting my glasses) I asked my eye dr about corrective surgery and he had written that down, six months later I was contacted to see if i wanted to be a case study for RK's. he was starting them in his office and wanted some case studies. FREE....it was going to be free. I told you it was while back...I am 57 now LOL. anyway I went for it. What a journey it was. Three surgeries in one eye with 12 cuts each time (had it redone and redone because it healed up each time and I lost some of what I gained. Second eye twice I sat in the chair...last surgeries in both eyes I had drops to stop healing so quickly...and had to be very careful ...Anyway...long story short...I ended up pretty good, still needed lenses somewhat...but I asked and said if i did not wear them was that ok and he said yes. Over the years...my eyes got stronger...I passed the driver eye test for no lenses at all and I am 57 and can see fine. Slight stigmatism. But that is ok. Dollar store granny glasses to read at times but not always. I can say NOT wearing glasses after I found out I still needed them to have perfect vision was the best thing I ever did. I think your eyes can get used to glasses and they get weak.

Kaye Husko. Thanks for your report, suffering, and success! Angie - is close to passing DMV, no minus lens. Surgery costs $2,000, with problems. Angie's success, cost her about $100, wirh no risk. I wear a prevention plus lens ( for near only) - and confirm 20/20. Whether Angie, will continue with her work - is up to her. But it costs her nothing, and there is no risk - at all. Just a long term belief in science.

Had the same problem as you, I follow Todd backers, push printing and it works. my left eye was improving slot and was my dominant eye and right eye was slacking and sort of became a lazy eye without the eye dangling around being lazy, so recently I've started patching my left eye and work the right eye, patience is the key, it's a slow progress but really works, I follow jakes blog but never tried reduced lens method, I had been doing push printing for around 8 months and my left eye improved from 15cm to around arms length , I recently started again but working on my right eye this time, I had stopped mainly because of busy schedule and skipped days. I agree about being patient and reading jakes blog and understand everything before you try, I underestimated the important of changing focal planes when doing upclose work, when push printing I would notice my blur horizon playing up and see a lot of fuzziness and double images whenever I blinked and after reading jakes post, I found out it was ciliary spasm lock up, which I now resolve with taking regular breaks during close up use. I can vouch for Push printing, it definitely works but time is the key, it's a shame many people assume push printing and reduced lens method it's just another one of them "eye exercises" methods that are a lot of crap. I really enjoy reading jakes post and appreciate the biology behind everything and how it's backed up with solid medical evidence, excellent source overall! Anyway sorry for the lengthy post,' wish you good luck on your road to reverse nearsightedness, keep the updates coming!

MotoDav I love this post, thank you for sharing your experiences! it's always encouraging to hear from others who are doing this. And thank you for the reminder...I do need to patch and print push more often. like you, I just get busy with life and forget, LOL!

Angie Hepp hahaha no problem. Yeah it's hard to keep up when your life is busy, but it does becomes a daily habit, I usually do push printing as much as I can throughout the day, whenever I'm using my phone or anything, il always read at the edge of blur. Reversing myopia is a slow and long process but totally worth it, I'm just a normal open minded guy, when I heard of reversing myopia via push printing, I was skeptic at first like most but then I read jakes blog and saw all the biological evidence he had to back up everything and I respected that. That is what separated him from being legit than seeming like another fraud like those mostly on KZfaq these days you get so many videos titled "improve eyesight naturally with eye exercise or eye yoga for perfect eyesight" that stuff doesn't work for reversing myopia, never will, however it will maybe reduce eye strain. Anyway I'm just pleased I'm aware of Todd Becker getting stronger website and endmyopia and it's nice to know there's other around like you that do too!

MotoDav, I have looked into Todd backers also. I was wondering if you could tell us exactly what you do for your print pushing exercises? For instance, what does a print pushing session involve for you, and how long per session and how many times per week? Thanks
@TheMrHost
@TheMrHost 7 жыл бұрын
RaquelShields basically, Push printing is taking a piece of text preferably black font on white background and holding this text in front of your eyes to where the text is perfectly clear, then slowly edge the text back until the words are on the border of being sharp and slightly blurry , keeping your eyes wide as you can, you then basically blink with the intention that the blur will disappear until the text actually does clears up to where there's no blur or fuzziness, (active focus) you basically hold this gaze and I what I like to do is slowly move the text back even further and try and hold the gaze without it returning to any blurriness, it takes some time for people to find the active focus but just keep blinking and opening your eyes wide and you should eventually get it. I usually do this whenever I can, I usually spend some time before bed doing it, 30 mins - 1 hour is usually optimal for me, but you don't see results instantly, I noticed results after a few months where the text I was holding I could read clear about 30cm away from my eyes when before it was 15cm, but on endmyopia there's a tool where you can track your progress, i will use that. Here's a good link to www.oocities.org/dolphinhill/theorynotes.html That explains pretty much push printing, also endmyopia blog and Todd Becker site gettingstronger are the best sources.

Hi! I know this is an old video but I'm hoping you still see comments! I did Bates method for a long time and saw a lot of success but just like you, I had different vision in each eye and made my prescriptions equal in both eyes at the beginning . I've often felt like it has hindered my progress, but when I found endmyopia and got glasses that gave my weaker eye a stronger prescription, my brain couldn't take it haha. Did you have issues with this? I found it especially difficult when taking off my glasses, because the focal distances would be different from when I had my glasses on due to the difference prescriptions. I got used to going without glasses a lot and still like to take them off, so it was an issue for me to keep changing that focal length many times throughout the day. It hurt my eyes and my brain and I ended up giving up. But my weak eye just lags behind so much! I'm thinking of trying again to give it a boost. Any advice on this specifically would be appreciated!
@AngelaHepp
@AngelaHepp 4 жыл бұрын
Hi! I didn't have my significant issues with that, as I kept the prescription for both eyes just strong enough for each to see about 20/30-20/50 individually. I tried to patch my stronger eye whenever I wasn't wearing my glasses, like reading, using my phone, watching a movie, etc. That helped quite a bit. My diopter gap was 1.75 and now it's 0.5.
@margeauxeatsushi
@margeauxeatsushi 4 жыл бұрын
@@AngelaHepp Thanks for replying! That makes sense about using the patch, so that you can avoid changing focal length. That might help! So when you got that first pair of glasses after finding endmypoia, did you go back to a 1.75 difference between your eyes? How many times did you step down the weaker eye's prescription before making both the same again? At this point, I'm seeing maybe 20/60 with my weak eye and 20/40 with my stronger eye with my 'normalized'. I also have astigmatism too though, so my weaker eye sees more distortion even though I can 'read' the 20/60 line. I'm thinking I might just need an extra 0.25 or 0.5 in the weak eye to give it a boost.
