There is something magical when things are encased somehow, no? It makes the mind take notice and focus on whatever miniature world's inside. You could have a removable copper box made to size by a tinker. Terrariums, cloches, small obelisks & trellises have the same enclosed effect. It makes you look at what's inside as special! It is so cool. I love the paint you chose. I absolutely love Wardian cases. If it were me, I would get plexiglass for it rather than glass. Ace Hardware will do custom cuts of acrylic / plexiglass.

Happy Birthday Grace! Love the restoration on your Grandma's case. The plants look perfect in there! Oh no, you didn't show us the amaryllis in bloom. My amaryllis aren't anywhere near ready to bloom, but I check them every day. Maybe a few times a day, LOL.

I found one just like this at a local thrift shop for $30, I thought it was a good buy. It is just a little bit smaller but is sturdily built. I put different little scenes in it during the year. Your plants look beautiful in it.

The Wardian case restoration is lovely…love the color and the plants you used along with the moss and bark. Adding some light to it would be great too. How long will plants survive in it? You are fortunate to have the memories of your grandmother and her love of plants. Thank you for sharing with us! Don’t forget to show your blooming amaryllis in a future segment.

Hi I love the terrarium! I've been looking at terrariums but unfortunately I do not get enough light for plants in the winter. I was toying with the idea of creating a winter scene with bottle brush trees and fairy lights and repurpose it with real plants during the summer. Love yours!

Such a tribute to your grandma! Would it help see the plants inside with a short string of fairy lights in the bottom? It looked dark from the video, so I could not make out the beautiful arrangements of the plants inside. But it might be very visible when you're actually in that room.
