The dedication of the French citizens to restore and preserve their architectural heritage is adminable. One cannot grasp the size of the Grand Palais, even when inside; I had the privilege of going inside during a brief 3 day opening of the project a few years ago and it was breathtaking then to see the "skeleton" of the building; it will be stunning when completed.

It definitely deserves preserving. Unfortunately I have never been but it's a good excuse to visit Paris
