so the lady who had the 5 declined cards: those were almost certainly stolen cards, and she was sheepish because she's nervous about getting caught spending money on fake cards. this is a common practice with stolen credit cards, to try and spend as much money on them before they get canceled. I used to work at gamestop and this would happen every so often (less the "nervousness" but more the "spend 500+ on random junk, cards get declined, then they leave to "get cash/move money to their account" and not come back".

Dunno why I'm commenting on a 5 year old vid, but as someone who worked at a Dollar Tree, this was all too relatable. I remember filling balloons in sets of 20-30 sometimes. People buying tons of glass items to fill a cart. And people buying around 500$'s worth of items to resell them at their own store... Wouldn't say they were good times, but I still had fun with the people I worked with.

50 balloons? 5 minutes? That is... 6 seconds per balloon. Wow.

The dollar store is my literal favorite store. I know all the staff, and they know me. And I mean, everything is a dollar!!! (A dollar 25 now but still) I’m not quite old enough to get a job but if I could I would totally work there. They’re always so understaffed and I just want to help and get paid to be there.

Oh good god the retail stories I have. Working at a truck stop some 200 miles down the start of Route 66, you get some “lively” people. Like the trucker who walked in covered in poop. Like head to toe. We had to shut the store down for 3 days, scrub 400 square feet of tile with literal toothbrushes. Walls had to be repainted because they were so badly stained. Or the time I had 3 people drive off without paying for their gas. Like why were we even allowed to pre-approve pumps anyway? Practically scamming ourselves. Oh and the convicted gas station robber who managed to steal almost $300 worth of stuff. Thank god I didn’t do something stupid, like try to stop him with the magnetic door lock. He came back a week later and tried to pull the same scam and something told me to just go along with it, but keep the stuff out of reach. The guy (who I found out was a multi time felon with a record of illegal possession of firearms, ASSAULTING CASHIERS, BURGLARY) was dumb enough to SHOW ME HIS VALID ID 😂😂😂 I looked him up a state registery of convicted criminals. The dude was on PAROLE. He had to skip the county to avoid arrest. They found him 40 miles away 2 weeks later, after he came back a 3rd time, attacked the working cashier (if it had been any other night of the week, it would’ve been me), stole several cartons of cigarettes and bailed. The best part? He lived in an apartment RIGHT BEHIND THE STORE. The cops here never bothered to grab him, despite me grabbing his info off the state website, matching features and all, having a confirmed name with me having seen his ID. Like, I seriously hate this town.

Hey I have no idea If you will see this but “motion warrior” the person in this video is homeless now and they explained it all in a new video. As a viewer I am aware that you as a content creator are never obliged to help everyone out and I get that but they are homeless now and they are in need of help. Even directly trying to raise more awareness would be nice and I think it could help make a difference. I’m really just throwing a Hail Mary out here and there’s guarantee that you will see this comment but I still wanted to try just for them since the story broke my heart.
