@@briantwigley totally agree-i c these guys in our town only this morning on my school run-three of them going through red lights with horns blasting-not sure if they are allowed to do this-another a taxi driver whom i know has been repremanded by station officer about his driving to call outs(this was in local paper after police fined him 4 driving at excessive speed on way to call)---i met him in town centre shortly after seeing the other 3 guys and he was blasting his horn and flashing lights and sign flashing on front window-im thinking its possibly -if ur not there in the 5 mins allowed u dont get paid or only the 5 guys who go out get paid thanks 4 ur reply

@@chevy790 well if anyone did that over here they would be out the door the same day. I assume in NI the traffic rules are the same as in the rest of the UK, retained have no exemptions whatsoever. The 6 on the pump(s) get paid a turnout and then anyone else gets an attendance which is half of a turnout. I’d love to meet some of these people 😂

Those part time firefighters in the UK would be drooling with having red lights and sirens in their personal vehicle, as red is the primary emergency light color here. They may use them in their personal vehicle, when their vehicles are designated as emergency vehicles by the municipality. @@YelpBullhorn I was just wondering why the pump went when they were sending the ladder too. I wouldn't have thought it was necessary to send the pump as the ladder is able to get up to the roof on its own.
