I own a retired racehorse from your program from VT .--albeit 20 years ago. Would like to find same program nearby me in NE again. Sassy is wonderful -she took me through prelim eventing and is now a big goofy lawn ornament who owes me nothing, and I owe her so much for letting me love eventing again.

Thank goodness there are some people out there who care for these beautiful, awesome animals! I have a failed racehorse myself, he is so loving and affectionate, plus a lovely riding horse! I wish I could save alot more than just one!

These are awesome animals, and this is a great story! I'm so glad someone cares about these animals. Horses are wonderful creatures and their personalities just won't quit! LOL! I would love to visit this retirement place and spend time with these guys.

What a wonderful lady with wonderful actions that makes one believe that humans can also do good to such noble animals, GETTING NOTHING IN RETURN other than pleasure of seeing them fare well.

What would be best for all horses would be for us humans to make the horses most important and not dividing among disciplines and opinions. We all need to find a way to make horses relevant in lives of more humans. They built this country with us and we are allowing a decline in the uses and needs for horses. Its sad seeing barns closing and empty horse shows etc. My ex racer is my best behaved girl , she is the boss of my little herd and most athletic.

The vast majority of the horses bred to race, end up at slaughter houses. THAT is what most people who think horse races are great fun just don't get. They support the death of millions of horses, the horrific injuries and suffering of horses that do make it to the track, and the suffering of the vast majority who don't. I've had three rescued racehorses. All three showed major signs of abuse. All three had injured that only happen in horses that are raced before their bodies are mature.

I think both safer / more fun and easier for race horses LEARNING from ground - As in Classich School ( Wieen ) As - Bride, Stop, Trot, and parade - Galop even when you standing beside, On horse ( Races ) it not easy

Horses need protection- there needs to be a national law against so much breeding - I have a rescued TB I have had for four years now - he is wonderful - a real sweetie, and I have a beautiful almost 31 yr old purebred Arabian mare whom I have had since she was 9. She was put on a killer buy lot with her dam in southern CA, and the owner had no remorse about it when he was called as the mares were identified! Love her to death , and she is my best friend. There are too many breeders trying to get the top horse in whichever discipline - its ridiculous! I am angry and fed up and anyone who cares about horses should be too!

Same problem in India also the owners was left to die and I also have 2 retire hores have many more but we not reach to save more horses of thoroghbred bad luck racing horse.

What you are doing for these horses I wanted to start doing when I was 17 but for some reason I come back to Detroit when I do not like it here my family owns a little bit of property and I think that would be a good place to start rescuing horses and then finding them hopefully forever homes but my thing is whoever I would adopt the horse to I would put it in the contract that if they don't want it no more you bring it back to my property not just take it to auction and I give you your money back the same price you bought it for that is a very good idea thing is is the auction AKA slaughterhouses how can you see what they do to these horses me I would break down crying because I watch it on KZfaq what they're doing to these poor animals and it's me horses are like dogs they love you just as much of a dog does and they give you their all in front of people to do that that's just wrong so how do I get started one horse at a time or I could really use some advice

It should be illegal what these people do to these horses but nothing's going to be done cuz it's the rich people when you're done with your horse instead of putting into auction or whatever won't you give it to a child or family that can't afford a horse that really wants one or give the horse sanctuary if I can use as a tax write-off if you're that greedy

It’s a shame these horses are used up and disgarded by greedy owners
