In todays guide, we are looking at Retrobat v6.2. This is the latest Retrobat Release. This guide is designed for beginners but we are also taking a look at more advanced settings such as applying and setting up Mega Bezels, using Retroarch to use cheats within particular retro games, how to setup a Bluetooth controller, how to manually install a theme, how to add your own custom video intro/splash video into retrobat plus a whole lot more!

What a fantastically simple yet very detailed overview. Would you consider doing a dedicated video for connecting to and comfiguring for a Legends Arcade Ultimate arcade cab using OTG? Specifically connecting the controls and any limitations that might occur?

You should totally do a Vpinball setup on this newer version as its a bit different as far as DMD, images, etc. I'm still trying to figure it all out. Great video and thank you.

Bonjour Jamie, merci pour ce guide qui m'a beaucoup aidé 👍👍 j'ai cru comprendre qu'il était possible avec retrobat de jouer en réseau à distance ou bien à la maison avec 2 pc équipés de retrobat sur le même réseau ( par exemple jouer à daytona usa à 2 comme sur une arcade twin) ça doit être génial! Confirme tu que ce soit possible? et pourquoi pas faire une vidéo sur le sujet, je pense que ça pourrait intéresser pas mal de gens. Merci !

Hello Jamie, ah sorry I thought you could directly translate this comment... I said thank you for this guide which helped me a lot I understood that it was possible with retrobat to play remotely or remotely over the network. the house with 2 PCs equipped with retrobat on the same network (for example playing Daytona USA with 2 like on a twin arcade) it must be great! Do you confirm that this is possible? and why not make a video on the subject, I think it could interest a lot of people. THANKS !

Hi, I'm using Flycast inside Retrobat and it works really well but I realized that it gives me only 10 save slots. Do you know if there is a way to increase their number? P.S.: Love the tutorial, it taught me a lot I didn't know.

@@JustJamie1983 I don't know, I picked the Flycast emulator directly from the Retrobat menu. I tried to avoid passing through Retroarch cause when I was emulating from it I had troubles with the game Shenmue 2 showing visual glitches, no matter if I changed the video settings. Same with Redream, either flickering or showing weird triangles, it's a known issue with emulating that specific game. While when I picked Flycast directly from Retrobat the graphics were perfect. But has way less save slots than I was used to in Retroarch. Do you suggest I should pick Retroarch from inside the Retrobat menu?

RetroBat or Batocera. Do you notice any performance issue? Does Windows consume more resources in the back? thanks

I would likely say that Batocera would run quicker as it dosent rely on Windows running in the background.

@@JustJamie1983Kinhank is a Chinese company that sells hard drives and Android devices loaded with pirated games and a front end already set up. Now that he's having problems with it he's basically asking you for support since they probably don't offer any.

@@JustJamie1983 Kinhank 12t is one of those ready HDDs for people that are too lame to make a collection on their own, so they buy his "ready" made HDDs with thousands of Built-In games which usually come with some old EmulationStation setup. Would definitely now cover such thing.

All my roms are in zipped folders, is there an issue with using them like that? Just asking because my genesis games arent working and i noticed that your roms are not in zipped folders.

the hard disk my dear, you should try retrobat on a ssd nvme and it will be the fastest thing of your life!!!!
