I commented when you did the drive shaft and brakes that you had a whirring noise on the test drive! I knew something was amiss. Glad you got it sorted. I’ve never done a wheel bearing with the ABS built in before so it was good seeing how simple those are. I expected it to be a right nightmare!

The tyre was 15psi in that video as the car was standing for a while The noise went when we pumped the tyre up Adam.

I'm in the USA, what i like about your channel is that you show us how to do repairs in our driveway using common tools. You also convinced me to buy a reel mower. I found one at a flea market for $100. It is a McClain type. I knew instantly what it was and how good a bargain it was from watching you repair those types.

Hub bearing to swivel hub bolts are 90nm + 30° + 15°. The trolls will be on fire over using copper slip on a bearing with abs sensor built in 🤣

It was worth the wait Martin, a few years back I had a rumble i changed the long drive shaft, turned out the left front wheel was loose (what a wally) never did tell the wife 🙄

Great video Martin. Wow you was lucky getting the old wheel bearing out, they are usually a pig to drive out with the corrosion. Nice new bearing kit with everything included. Did you have to stake the new centre nut or just torque it to spec ? Cheers, Jeff.

Great video. I have a similar sound and wonder if it could be the driveshaft bearing. In your case, did your sound change when driving and turning in different directions?

Difficult to say, when the driveshaft went a couple of months back, it clonked when turning the wheel.

to save some folks time, to tighten a bolt FT means to tighten it 'Fully Tight' or as tight as you can make it..

@10:15 - instead of hitting on the bearing, put all 3 bolts back in loosely and hit the bolts with a hammer to push the bearing out.

Isnt a way of checking the wheel bearing rotating the wheel with one hand on the spring... if the wheel bearing is bad it will transmit the shock to the spring allowing you to feel it

If its just passed am MOT they should have picked up on it but the nut may have come loose after.

I been told jack the tyre up grab it from 9 to 3 o'clock push it in and out then From 12 to 6 give it wobble that's best way to check faulty wheel baring what you think ur a pro 😁

I wouldn't want to buy a car off you if you do things up FT (Finger Tight). I think one of my my wheel bearings is on it's way out because when I go around a roundabout and pressure is on the passenger side you can hear a noise.
