I saw this movie when I was like 7 and thought it was the scariest thing I'd ever seen. I went literal decades without seeing it again. Saw it for the first time again about 3 years ago and finally figured out it was supposed to be a comedy. The kid brain is something else.

There's a documentary called MORE BRAINS it tells the story of the crazy stuff that happened during the original movie. Including how they had to fire the original make-up guy.

This was the first zombie movie I ever watched. I remember I was about 6 y.o. And I was with my parents inside an appliance store. While they were shopping, they left me in front of a tv that was playing this movie 😁 still love the Michael Jackson zombie.

Apparently there actually rebooting this series now. I liked the first and the 3rd this one is passable and could almost be a zombie parody kids movie. 4 and 5 are aweful.

Well,it wasn't entirely explained,but because it was raining,the ground was soft, and the zombies could dig their way out.And,oddly, coffins are buried 6 feet deep so that the coffins wouldn't come up due to rain and floods and coffins have come up due to weather in the US years ago.

The zombie bully kid lived down the street from me, I was friends with his younger sister, and they both have the same eye brows so when I see him, I kinda see her which is weird.. Anyway ironically they filmed part of this movie on the other side of the city we lived in here in California.

The Tarman Zombie was the same actor (Alan Trautman) who played him in the first movie. The Red headed girlfriend (Suzanne Synder) played the blonde girl in Killer Klowns from Outer Space! The first movie really balanced the Horror and Comedy. This was just slapsticky and over goofy and the Horror just wasn't there.

4:15 It was actually filmed in Sierra Madre. I recently went to the town (at least when the comment was posted), and it is pretty nice. However, the graveyard, hospital, and power station were custom built sets.

Yea my guess on why tarmen are slow moving is that they’re zombies from the original night of the living dead. The military experimented with the original walking zombies and created 245 trioxin and that chemical created the unkillable running zombies we have in here. Edit: also just realized Jessie wilson, the kid who called the military, has the same last name as Burt Wilson who called the military in the first movie.

40:19 I think you forgot about the 1st movie. In there, a female zombie with pink hair got her upper torso axed off, and restrained. She told the protagonists that brains are basically a zombie painkiller. Basically, rotting probably makes them very uncomfortable (Imagine being bitten in every part of your body at the same time by dogs. That would not be pleasant. Now imagine this happening 24/7), and by eating brains, they basically are like getting a dose of a few pills, which will last for a while before they have to do so again.

I gotta be honest, if I was in a zombie apocalypse and there were zombies after me, I would honestly be crying. That is one of my biggest fear, and a scenario I do not want to encounter. Also, the electricity that was striking the zombies were hand drawn. Someone was actually paid alot of money to draw in lightning.

As a weird coincidence I was out with my mates having a few drinks and was telling my mate about this film and I mentioned the bit with Michael Jackson at the end, when I got home I found out they faked Michael Jacksons death 😉The very same night ! My mates are convinced I'm psychic 😂

This one doesn't compare to the first at all but is an alright time waster. The 3rd movie while still not as good as the first is a better movie then this one that works as it's own thing. This one is more or less just a remake of the first that could almost be PG 13 if you remove like 2 gore scenes.

I've seen the first one probably a dozen times over the years. I watched this one once (when it was on TV) and never had the inclination to watch it again. Thank you for reminding me why. This is one of those cases where _nobody_ had a story that they wanted to tell, just a desire to cash in on a brand name. "And I guess we're gonna need a script at some point too."

The second one leans way harder on the comedy. I think it even pulls back on the gore. Even though it goes more for the comedy the first one is way better

You guys have completed me and have officially watched all my favorite gems. Now you guys are lucky you have seen this on blu ray with the original soundtrack. Otherwise the new re-edited movie has another sound track and its not so good. This movie is epic do to the music, including the grave yard scene when they all rise. This movie had gave me ptsd when i was a child. This movie launched me into being a huuuge horror fanatic. Thank you for sharing your experience watching it.
