This is why more people need a Reliant in their lives! Not been this amused by a video in ages 😂

Absolutely superb. Your brother getting out of the back of the Supervan was comedy gold. 😂

The Reliant being Really Useful! As Sergeant Wilson would say to Captain Mainwaring: "Do you think this is really wise, sir? But apparently it was, so well done that man! 10/10 for entertainment value😅

F*cking hell that was hilarious :) "No fatalities, a new record!" it is also quite awesome to see the Reliant being used for what it was built for, and then some! :)

Would love to see more of the Reliant. A Reliant in great condition must've been a blessed reliable car

Having been towed at high speed from a Ford Transit it is an experience I would not like to repeat. Great comedy keep up the good work.

I think"He s having a good time over there" may have over stated the case slightly... Loved it. Having towed a trailer with a BSA A10 and a slightly seized Suzuki GT 500 plus all my wordly belongings to Scotland , with an admittedly superior power Bobbin 750, I had no doubts you would succeed. Stay loopy. All the best to you 4 Keith.

Whatever people might say about the Reliant it did offer cheap reliable transport in the 70s , to me as well.

Looks like good fun - especially once its over 😅 Reminds me of when i was getting towed on a motorbike by the Mrs in a car on a busy road (A19). When leaving the main road we went around a round about and a "boy racer" in a BMW shot out infront of the towing car squealed around the small round about and drove back the way he came. Driving between the motorbike and tow car totally oblivious to the tow rope 😮 Luckily the tow rope was fragile and snapped easily and i didn't get dragged down the road on the bike by the BMW 😂

Just hilarious! Brought back a never forgotten memory of being towed 25 miles back home down the M1 on my broken down 1948 B31 motorbike in the late 60's by my mate on his Norton Atlas. All went well until he decided to overtake a car on the inside lane whilst another car was in the process of overtaking us! Terrifying but character building and completely true!

I saw the title and jumped straight to the video thinking this has to be seen!! You two are now known officially as the " balls of steel" brothers although I'm sure it didn't feel like it at the time.....especially your brother, we could see the terror in his expressions 🤣

Was worried that you would Bump your Head on the Front Towing Eye of the MGB.... Another Superb Video from Badger Lodge...Thank you.

Longer distance towing is better to find something more substantial to attach to… or that’s the excuse I’m using for not noticing the towing eye😂

@@badgerlodgegarage ..I had no idea that I was witnessing a Genius at work. the late John Sullivan was truly inspired when he chose the Venerable Reliant Super van as the perfect Vehicle for the Trotters endeavours. You Guys are continuing a fine Tradition.🤣

I find British roundabouts terrifying. Not only do you drive on the wrong side of the road (even the police drive on the wrong side of the road over there)!! but you also drive the wrong way through roundabouts. Terrifying.

Should have had a camera showing the actual tow with the rope ?
@badgerlodgegarage10 ай бұрын
I did think about that (and would have liked to do it), but there would have only been one brief moment to show it, and we would have had to stop and pic up the camera!, even with two people and three cameras production capability is limited. You can just about see the rope in certain shots from the MG.

This looks slightly less perturbing than when I was towed by my mum. She drove like a class b rally driver...

Back when anyone could be a steers men dad's friend had me in a high top van being towed to the scrap yard. I had never driven before and was being towed at break neck speed down packed streets, how I didn't side swipe every vehicle out of existence I don't know.
