This has to be one of the best & realistic information so far in Neverwinter... Inspecting others and asking questions about gear that person helps a lot. I did the very same thing while returning from 1.5 year of break.

I think its been about 6 years since I've played. Looking to get back into it, will be like a whole new game to me so thanks for this. Hopefully this information is still pretty relevant even for me after being gone for so long 😅

It all depends on how long you have been gone. In the past few years there have been major rework of a few key systems in game. Also the bard has been added and the wizard has been significantly reworked. If you are a DPS class and do not have a great artifact belt/neck set, then you want to do the Dragonbone Vale campaign to get the mythillar set. It is a nice free set, just takes 4 weeks to do the campaign. Also you get a nice vale shirt that adds 5% damage, provided you move every 5 seconds. You can buy lots of equipment off the Auction House to help get your iLevel up. Much of it comes from the new zones or seals vendor. You can still do Juma bags in Vallenhas (Avernus) to get some mounts and companions, as well as, other goodies. Do you daily Q's so you can make 100k AD per day. Epic mount collars are relatively inexpensive way to get iLevel. On PC, the epic mount collar choice pack is cheaper than the individual collars. The choice pack sells for under 40k regularly on the PC. Don't spend to upgrade your mount collars. Just buy the epic mount collars. The iLevel boost to cost is way too expensive for mount collars. You should be spending your resources on other things. If you have lots of characters, then account wide companions and mounts are the way to go. Account wide mythic mounts are relatively cheap. Some account wide companions are also relatively cheap. Look over your adventures. Beyond the levelling adventures, many of them have less than 10 steps and give 100k rAD. This is a quick way to get rAD to convert to AD. Acquisitions Inc also gives you a new enchantment. For me, it was cheapest to buy the rare (blue) versions of the new enchantments and rank them up using enhanced motes. But I was able to get the enhanced motes for about 400k. Now they are over 500k, so might not be worth it. Do the math and figure out what works best for you. It may make sense just to buy the mythic enchantments. Also, once you have a mythic enchantment, you can turn it in for an account wide version of it. This allows all your characters to use the enchantment, but you cannot sell it to other players if you do this. You can create account wide versions of any of the mythic enchantments. You can have multiple copies of the same enchantment. So if you use lots of garnets, you can share lots of garnets across your account. You can easily reach the claims vendor on the PC by typing "L" and choosing "Claim Valuables." Always check the Auction House. Prices vary. Some things are cheaper on the Auction House than in other places. Another trick to the auction house is the packs sold there. As mentioned before, it is cheaper to purchase the epic mount collar choice pack, rather than a specific collar off the AH. There are many times where a pack is cheaper than an individual item that is within the pack. There are lots of instances with specific companions and companion packs. I recently purchased a pack that included the polar bear cub, because it was cheaper than buying the specific polar bear cub. I used to buy packs and select the most expensive items from it and resell them. I made lots of AD this way. Now, there is not as much an opportunity for this. But there are still some. If you are going to spend any real money on the game, then the first thing you need to know is NEVER pay full price on Zen market. You can always save at least 20% using a coupon from invoking. The best zen deal is VIP. Purchase VIP and then use the enchanted key that you get each day to open the treasure coffers. It is best to open the coffers that have tarmuline trade bars in them. These coffers are 1 to 2 years old. But you can purchase some of them off the auction house. Also, some guilds have them available for use. Save the trade bars and use them for companion and mount tokens when the trade bar store has a sale. Normally it is 3 trade bars per token. During the sales, it is 2 trade bars per token. Save your trade bars for the sales. Upgrade your companions and mounts in this way.

You must’ve spent a lot of money on that game because I just returned after like I don’t know three or four years and I had three level 20 characters maxed out, but I had nothing in the promo except for the the costume for the current event so they can give me anything to come back and I was all I didn’t know this but I was like Levant level seven or eight VIP member when I played before I honestly don’t remember playing that long. They have three level 20 characters must’ve been Na general fairly decent high-level to get squished down and maxed out window. Mobile squish happened and I followed the stuff on the characters but nothing in my mail. Nothing in the reward vendor except things I already have in there and back rabbit costume.

I just got back into Neverwinter bc my gf wanted to check it out. I last played back in late 2019 and logging in felt like playing the game for the first time. My Ranger is now level 20, and everything changed. I was thinking of rolling a new char just to re familiarize myself with the game again. Thanks for the suggestion of turning in all the outdated items into AD. I went from 400,000 to over 4 mil 😆

Hello i am a returning player after 10 tbh and i dont get how do you turn your old gear into ad. Can you explain the process cause the only thing i can think of is sell the unbound gear on the ah right? Thanks for the response
