I know it will. The showrunners are Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik. One is George R R Martin's best friend who George trusts more than anyone. The other is the director of all the best episodes of Game of Thrones (BOB, Hardhome, Winds of Winter, etc.). And also, this is completed story already. All you have to do is type in the Dance of Dragons to know exactly what kind of amazing cinematography and screenwriting is about to take place

@@jisse1900 the other houses should play a part. Especially stark if they show us from that early. If they show only after they already have their power I think you are right. But if not we should for sure see a lot of good stuff. It would be a wasted oppurtunity to not show starks and lannisters and boratheans or even the martells and tyrells. Unless they are a brand new house you have a lot of history to work with. And plenty that the targaryeans would not include in the history books. It is literally the most powerful house all fucking each other and killing each other with a 50% chance of each member being insane for no reason. They better not find a way to screw it up because I am having a hard time imagining the possibility with how much is already pre-written.

I mean... that was a comment on the costume design, which, sure, is an important part of world building, but I think those words are more literal than talking about the show as a whole.

I really hope GRRM pushed them to keep it as close to the book as possible. This should be absolute common knowledge by now, that GOT was plummeted when the showrunners had no endgame provided by the books, as well as arrogantly, haphazardly changing things left and right regardless of if it made character, story or lore sense. This is not news, it's a modern day phenomena how GOT kamikazed itself, so I pray they understood that making this one.

The show will be what ACTUALLY happened. With no bias to either side. Just the actual events unfolding before our eyes. ....though I do so hope we eventually get to meet Mushroom. ✨🍄 ✨

@@Persephone_Personified Thank you for informing me, I've read the ASOIAF books but never Fire and Blood. To be honest, as long as they keep within the known lore of what happened, that will be great. And to me, even if they'd made it more like it's being told from an unreliable narrator's perspective, e.g. Mushroom, as long as that is canon, I am absolutely okay with that. My issue comes if they make changes to what was given by the source material.

The only way they can subvert expectations is if they don't put 17-20 multicoloured dragons in the show. Lol

They literally faced hostility when they had dragons too. Maegor the Cruel had to fight the Militant Faith and a lot of people rebeling against his tirany.

DB Weiz & David Benioff didn't put any love for Season 7. They wanted Starwars.

When its a large scale fantasy show like this and a lot of sets and all are practical effects and not CGI, you know its going to be good. That time and love really showed through on other amazing fantasy adaptations like LOTR and GOT.

The sole fact that they actually built the Red Fortress for real is just undescribable! It's gonna be epic.

It’s kind of the sad the reputation they have received when they did such a beautiful job on season 1-5. Unparalleled television. None of this would have been possible without David and Dan and the only Song of Ice and Fire we saw on television might have been a disastrous and so far removed from source material adaptation like the one we got with the Wheel of Time series on Amazon. David and Dan helped define modern Fantasy Television and it’s what every fantasy filmmaker today strives to live up to.

@@bulavo first off, they're Velaryons and not Targaryens. On the show, they made them black because they have Summer Islander ancestors. It's a way to set up potential spin offs that will be set outside of Westeros

They have a problem with lore breaking and Amazons weird narrative that adding one black elf and one black dwarf is somehow more inclusive than simply expanding the story into the realms of Harad and Rhun, which were predominantly inhabited by PoC. For example, Roberts hunts were supposed to have thousands of people, and were overly fancy. Then there is the Iron Thron, which was supposed to be huge. But they couldn't do these. @@juharon There will be more dragons on this one simply because there were more dragons in Westeros at the time. It's staying authentic to the book, not a plot device to detract from a lack of substantial storytelling.
