@@frogbysachs7559 not op but I got a similar gender situation going on: it essentially boils down to ‘sometimes you don’t identify with either binary gender but you’re attracted to just one’; there isn’t really a vocabulary for that yet, but for me it’s about relating more to the way gay people talk about attraction than straight people, and wanting to align myself with gay communities. Sometimes it’s ‘cause people assume you’re gay without considering your gender and you roll with it. Sometimes it’s just for fun. It DEFINITELY isn’t just about assigned gender at birth, you can be agender and gay for Any gender regardless of that. Hope that helps some!

Also I don't own a TV so gladly I can choose what to watch on the Internet, but yeah so true, it's gotten really annoying and I can't even stand it now. I don't mind when it's well written and for a purpose though

The movies, the series, the games, it's everywhere. It can work if the characters actually have chemistry. And if they are actually fleshed out. But there's too many exemples when it just feels like they checked the boxes without any second thoughts. At best it's distracting and boring, at worst it's honestly quite offensive (the tackled romantic interest that is seemingly there only to 'reassure" the heterosexual audience. Looking at you Star Wars 9)

I'm ace and I quite enjoy watching (heterosexual) romance, at least if there's chemistry. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic (and I like to live vicariously through relationships in media).
