I've taught 3D artists who work at Disney, Blizzard, and more! I've also taught many people on their very first day. And do you know what is exactly the same about these two groups? I teach both of them the same 3 Step Plan. And I'm going to teach it to you in this video!

This video is like taking a class where the content is excellent, but the professor blasts Mario Kart music while they teach.

Timestamp: 9:08 Its pointed out that its important to head towards the direction of the pose. Does the same apply to Characters you want to animate later on aswell? In my case for example, I have a Character concept which is in a certain pose, however I would like to animate the character later on, so my question would be: Should the character be sculpted in the pose of the Concept art? Or Should one try to get as close as possible to the Character concept while the model remains in the A-pose?

If you’re going to rig and animate, you should always have a neutral pose of your character to work with.

This video's principles are great and I want to share/reference it, but the background jazz was an s-tier focus breaker for me. Fingers crossed for a re-upload 🤞

Can anyone please tell me what is the point of polypainting if you are anyway going to texture it in substance painer?
@sleepyash3722
@sleepyash3722 5 ай бұрын
From personal experience, it helps with differentiating everything so it’s easier to add details or figure out if you are heading in the right direction. It can be kind of hard to tell when everything is the same color. But it’s really up to the person. Some people don’t polypaint as they go.

Sometimes it’s just fun! For me even though I do most of my texturing in substance, adding some details in polypaint in zbrush is like a little treat for me lol. It also makes the render look more polished as I take screenshots/renders of my progress
@cranberriarts

You can also export polypaint to zbrush sometimes too as a texturing base, as long as you’ve done your retopology beforehand

Contrary to popular belief the *music* worked for me. I think the way it was intended by the author. I typically can’t stand background music at lower volumes just recollecting on memory.
