Ironically the Revenant's missiles are not a threat at all but their melee is something you should watch out for. Same goes for Doom Hunter. LOL THAT ENDING

Damn I didn't even know stagger duration could change depending on Revenant body parts, that's way too much attention to detail which is cool

I'm guessing Revenants being immune to the ice bomb during that jetpack power attack isn't really intended. Certain demons have also been documented immune during certain animation states. Usually when they're jumping or climbing ledges/edges, that specific part of an animation just overrides priority over being frozen.

Interesting that the revenant’s head does not count as a weak point to stickies due to it already having two above his head. That’s why they’re more immune to the stickies on the head.

@@plushiepenguin A strong community can absolutely survive a three-month content drought, and community content creators are a major factor in that. We had Mayo, we had Midnight (even though he's a bit of a shifty douche, he was better than nothing) but they're doing other stuff now. It's why Id included that little community tribute in Quakecon. Just look at tf2, that game's community is still going strong even though there hasn't been an update for 3 years. There are so many things to talk about in Doom Eternal but nobody does. It sucks.

The urge to use lock-on rocket to this 'doot' is the strongest compared to other demon, since they lock-on rocket to you as well. Design of 2016 ravenent really scares me though.

Giving revenants a jetpack absolutely destroyed them. In 2016 and eternal they just scream at you for 5 seconds, hover around for another 5 seconds, and get faltered from the tiniest bit of damage forcing the loop all over again

This makes me wonder why they made some Battlemode demons op like the Dreadknight, who has even more abilities than its campaign counterpart, while leaving others limited like the Revenant. In Battlemode the Revenant has twin rockets and rocket barrage. But thanks to your analysis now I now it has homing missiles, the equivalent of the rocket barrage, and normal missiles, not to mention the dash/bash.

Amazing video yet again! Q: Did you find anything about what triggers the Revenant to fly away and explode on death? It’s usually pretty random, but it seems like it damages other demons.

A certain GK from the back will result in you stabbing its jetpack, which triggers the animation that does indeed deal damage.

I sometimes seem to be able to send them into stagger with a single meathook+SSG, but it’s not very consistent. Maybe the damage threshold to tip them over is right around the very closest point of a meathook.

Fascinating how the Revenant is the only demon in the game that has different stagger durations depending on the damage location. I'm guessing it's a holdover from _Doom 2016,_ since I imagine ID Software recycled a lot of the Revenant's code from that game.

Best way to take out revenant is pb > sticky > ballista or just full destroyer blade; you should make a video on how much damage onslaught does, I dont think its quad damage, at least not all the time because theoretically, under 4x dmg, a fully charged destroyer blade should one shot a tyrant as tyrant hp = 10,000 and destroyer blade base damage = 2,700(edit: I was wrong about the damage value, destroyer blade does 2,400, it's the lock on burst that deals 2,700)

Different demons have some immunity to specific weapons. Also Destroyer Blade does 800/1650/2500 damage.

@@shinobi_endure Can you link something where it says demons have specific resistances other than possessed demons, screecher buffed demons, or pinkies having frontal damage resistance? Also I did double-check my research and I was wrong about destroyer blade damage, but I read it should be 800/1600/2400(which would explain why tyrants dont die in one shot when using onslaught). I had the damage value mixed with lock on burst, which does 2,700

Even a easy quickswitch combo like SSG Balista will kill them insanely fast. I usually use PB Balista against them.
