Whenever NL comments on human nature in Fall Guys, I'm reminded of Sisyphus finding joy pushing that rock up the hill endlessly for all eternity. The difference between NL and Sisyphus, as we can see, is that my man NL can make it to the top of Fall Mountain and seize that vaunted glory like the legend he is.

Tricky. Sisyphus's dilemma and Enelle's Guyfalling are a perfect analogy. In both of them, the protagonist gets joy by completing his task, pushing the boulder the complete way up the hill or getting the crown over the mountain. One has to know what happiness is in order to know how sadness feels, and this is where the curse really hits them. The joy they get after completing the task is felt in a second, with the serotonin filled brain, they are able to continue just one more time. And sure, they will get to the top eventually, but they are still going to fail and fail time again, they will endure despair, sadness and loneliness over and over again. Anger and denial will play a major part in it, and after failing time and time again, one day, they will tire. After both completing and failing the task they are faced with the true that was looming all along and their real objective will never be completed, it was a ruse all along, distracting them from what they truly wanted, what they truly desired. They will never leave Hades. They will always be here. Working. Pushing that rock over the hill. Just to see it fall again.

Fall Guys and the mythos of Sisyphus are very similar. You can find suffering in the struggle, or find enjoyment in the small accomplishments during a harrowing task
