Reverse curse technique is exactly what it says it is. If you use your cursed energy to multiply the amount of your own cursed energy, it becomes positive energy instead of increasing in quantity

Though Reverse curse technique can be said as mutipling curse energy against itself to create positive energy, this doesnt mean a curse technique reversal is square amount output as a curse technique. The output is just twice as much. Imagining "Multiplying" in this context as 2 curse energy have segg with eachother to create 1 positve energy. Because of this not everyone can pull RCT, most people would probably just drain themself and die. The efficiency is so dumb that makes any character that can pull it out would have a crazy pool of curse energy.

Could you do a longer video just on the concepts of Cursed Technique Reversal? The idea that you flip the idea of a cursed technique seems straight forward until you realize all the ways that could be interpreted, which is a common mechanic of JJK is that someone's interpretation can have a huge impact on their CTR

Basically cursed energy which is negative can't heal you because it's well bad. RCT is multiplying curse energy with itself to create positive energy, now can be use to heal yourself because you know it's positive / good. Can also apply it to your curse technique to create opposite effect, i.e. Gojo turning his original technique Infinity/Lapse Blue to curse technique reversal: Red. I'm surprised soo many r confused about this

Something i've been thinking about for a while is, what CT's would actually have useful (or at least interesting) reversals of them, regardless of the users RCT capabilities? What would the reversals of known CT's even look like? Like what would the reversal of say 10S be? Would it maybe manifest the abilities of the Shikigami instead of the Shikigami themselves? Or something completely different? Or say Projection Sorcery's? Or Boogie Woogie's? Lots of interesting possibilities.

Theoretically anyone that learns rct can funnel the positive energy into their ct. but the only one that applied this was Gojo. There’s so many possibilities left unexplored so far.

Well kenjaku did it when using itadori mom ability which is anti-graviti when reverseed it become the ability to make gravity heavier

so in a sense would Fumihiko Takaba cursed technique be a strong counter to anything because his power stems from positive emotions. since it only triggers on things he finds funny? Sorta like how yuta is a beast because his power comes from love

As always, the explanation is top notch. I have some questions though ? Is every sorcerer gifted with rct able to use ctr ? How does it work , because Kenjaku is the only other sorcerer i know of (other than gojo) who managed to pull it off. Are people like Uraume and Sukuna able to use it as well ?

RCT is very hard to do. The ppl who can do what you said rn are Gojo, Sukuna and Hakari. Others has a delay to heal.

Wait, I thought RCT was made by combining two sources CE. So if we as people are only 1 person how can we make two sources of CE? Is it that we can make CE build up in different parts of our body then combine the two pools of CE to make RCT?

I'm pretty sure gojo said that purple is literally an infinite amount of imaginary mass, I'm not sure there's even a logical answer to it, but its possible that purple is just the number 0.

I think that might fr be a limitless + six eyes exclusive thing tbh, most cursed technique reversals don’t really make any sense, gojo’s technique is relatively simple as it’s just push and pull, but a CTR for literally any technique we’ve seen would probably just break itself like Yuta’s mimicry technique and Hakari’s technique, still doesn’t explain how gojo can do it without red and blue just cancelling each other out but it would explain why gojo is the only one we’ve seen to be capable of this

Maybe when you include negative ce and pozitivist curse energy into techniques you can avoid yhe effect of notarizing each other. You can think the technics as a shell to ce so that it doesnt interact anything othervise curse techniques would be countered by reverse curse energy itself, not the rce technic

We're made out of organic matter, but we're not immune to attacks by organic matter. Having a coconut thrown at you would still hurt. Jokes aside, since curses are heavily inspired by Bleach hollows, and hollows aren't immune to attacks of hollow energy despite being made out of it, then I guess curses follow the principle.

So Gojo's normal use of his CT: Lapse Blue is actually the one that attracts, reversal red is the one that repels, but yes! He actually has been known to apply that to his punches to make them "suck the opponent in" if you will to deal even more damage

Multiplying a positive by a positive would be positive, so since the original concept is based on math, no. It would just be more reverse cursed energy, aka positive cursed energy

Why do other characters ,besides Gojo, who can use RCT not use cursed technique reversal? I mean it adds another whole realm of versatility and abilities to a sorcerers arsenal? It seems like a really big thing that’s not addressed. Why doesn’t Sukuna use it? Why doesn’t Yuta or Kenjaku?

Because most characters don't have CT's where a reversal would actually be useful. Like, what would even be the reversal of say Sukuna's slashing attacks? Blunt force trauma? Gojo just happens to have an extremely versatile CT which is perfect for using in various different ways. Plus there aren't that many characters with RCT to begin with. Kenjaku's anti-grav ability is a CTR.

Kenjaku used it on his anti gravity technique to increase gravity. Kenjaku and Gojo are the only ones that used CTR. The others not using it is probably because their CTR isn't that useful to them. Yuta CT is copying other's techniques, so his CTR would imprinting his CT on others. Not really useful unless he wants to make a bunch of discount Yutas, and without rika to act as storage the discount Yutas can only hold a few CTs. Yuta isn't really about the AFO mindset. Sukuna CT can cut things up so his CTR would probably be putting things together, dismantle to assemble basically. Sukuna isn't really the type to bother with that type of thing. Sidenote, Sukuna used the shikigami powers of the 10S technique himself, like when he used Mahoraga's wheel to adapt or when he used Max elephant's water to emulate piercing blood. That might be the CTR of the 10S technique

explaining RCT in a comment (three sections) 1. fundamentals on how it works (CE) cursed energy can be represented by a negative number (RCT) reverse cursed technique is represented by a positive number (of course) you can only achieve RCT via specialized manipulation of CE, think of multiplying (-1)(-1) with the product being (1), or positive energy. gojo on marijuana says this. it of course takes way more work to make PCE (positive cursed energy). 2. offensive capabilities cursed spirits can use cursed energy on a human and they'd be harmed definitely. but reverse cursed technique on a cursed spirit would make them fucking explode. sukuna wouldve been eviscerated by mahoraga as a cursed spirit, and yuta turned a cursed spirit into ash with a bite. another thing, gojo said that (CE) Cursed energy is like electricity, and (CT) Cursed techniques are like appliances. so what if you were to input (PCE) into a cursed technique? the result would be Cursed technique reversal. it basically inverts the properties of said technique. Gojo can use it to repel instead of attract, and Iori can quickly grow flesh instead of explode. 3. regenerative capabilities cursed spirits can regenerate themselves with cursed energy relatively easily. you heard before that humans parallel them. So a human can input reverse cursed energy and grow back limbs.
