Just in time for fathers day a quick n' easy BBQ apron. It will only take one afternoon to whip this up. He'll be sure to wear it with pride.

Thanks for this. More of a quilter than a sewer and have an older acquaintance getting married who loves to cook. I was wanting to make some kitchen items for her and this is the Only apron that made sense and was easy enough for me to do. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for sharing your Art Quilt. I love the idea but I think I will try to make a smaller version.

That's a rather nice way to make an apron, without bindings. Many thanks.

Thank you for the tutorial! I was a little unclear from the pattern how much fabric I need to buy for the pocket lining and and the strap pieces. How much do you recommend on those?

I need to scale this up to a 40" square to fit, where do you recommend I make the "arm hole" cuts?
@SewVeryEasy
@SewVeryEasy 8 жыл бұрын
+Ashleigh Hanlon The arm hole cuts are always in the same place, and the size should be OK. You are able to change the center size for any adult, thanks for asking :)

I am in the process of making this apron as I type. I went to print off the armhole, it doesn’t print off on two pages, it wants to go four pages. What do you suggest?

Wouldn't it be easier to fold the straps like a bias tape instead of turning such a narrow piece right side out?

Nice tutorial, but I was disappointed that the completed apron was not shown at the end, so I could see the relative length of the ties. Possible suggestions: 1. I don't like anything tied behind the neck, it's awkward and uncomfortable, so I'll make mine adjustable for comfort, using 2-D rings. 2. Also, longer waist ties affords most to wrap their waist and have the option for the ties to be in front. 3. Instead of fishing the long waist straps to the right side, I think it's much easier, and looks better, to just fold them in half, iron and fold into the middle, then on top of one another. Iron & stitch. Instead of cutting the width 1 1/2", cut them 3" wide.
