GREAT VIDEO!! I had no problem following your instructions. What I DID have problems with was whatever robot or gorilla was assembling my freezer in the factory was not properly calibrated.

GREAT VIDEO! Easy to follow. I just wish that the gorilla who assembled my freezer had been properly calibrated. Every fastener was over-toqued by about 3,000 newton meters! Especially that lower right hinge pin! I had to use my 24-inch diesel-rated slip-joint pliers AND a cheater bar to get that damn hinge pin off! To make things worse, the two screws common to the tension

same here, still can't get the screw out of the plastic piece to change the door direction. It was already stripped when I attempted to take it out, now It's just a screw with no head and still stuck in there.

@@jeioutlook7940 Yep! Instructions in manual says to use an adjustable wrench to remove bottom hinge pin, and shows a picture of an adjustable wrench, not a pair of pliers. I actually had to use a small pipe wrench to break the pin loose even after using penetrating oil. Then had to file down the teeth marks left on the pin. Wound up overtightening the screw used to hold down the plastic stop piece, because I kept getting the clicking noise the video dude mentioned. (sorry video dude, I didn't catch your name) Great video though! Thanks for making it! It's amazing how everything goes smooth in these "how to" videos, but in the real world things like stripped screws, over torqued hinge pins and such, can turn a simple 10 minute job into a 2 hour nightmare!

Ditto. Everything is stripped before even touching it. Garbage. I’m about to tell Frigidaire/Electrolux to pick the damn thing back up.

Absolutely can not get the bottom pin off. There is no "loosen it." I have deformed it, must be using thread lock now

I agree with @mailmanx69 - the screw was so tight it immediately stripped when trying to remove it and could not be reused. I mentally pictured in my mind the gorilla putting that screw in there. Tried another screw and couldn't get it to work (loud popping noise). This video made it look easy and it was NOT. Ended up having to have a service call to get it fixed. Hopefully it will keep working and another service call will not be needed. I'm holding my breath. Also, don't attempt to remove the pin with pliers as stated in this video, use an adjustable wrench if you dare! Unfortunately after moving it across the room it started making the popping noise again. So, another service call. Wish I could return this to Home Depot but they only allow 48 hours for a return after delivery.

Good video. Between the manual and the video this was so much help. Works great. Thank you so much!

Great video instructions! I was able to get the door off but like other commenters faced issues with screws that came already stripped. Once I switched, the plastic housing piece wouldn't fit on the other door bottom due to the foot alignment being off by about 1/8." I shaved it down and managed to make it work. I couldn't get that screw tight enough due to factory stripping and now it makes the clicking sound mentioned in the video. Everything else works though.

Have another person looking at the door and the pin while you insert the door.

My door reverse went good until about 3:35 in this video. When I tried to slide the closer down on the pivot pin it wouldn't fit. There wasn't enough room between the pin and the front of the freezer for the closer to go down. I guess I'll have to get a floor jack, lift the freezer and see if there is another adjustment on the bottom of the freezer? Or just live with the door opening the wrong way

Do not use a pliers on the bottom hinge pin. I did this and it was on so tight I scratched it. Then I looked at the manual online and it says to use a socket. This video needs to be updated or taken down.

will this door reversal work for a Frigidaire 15.5 Cu. Ft. Frost-Free Upright Freezer (FFFU16F2VV) as well? Thanks in advance
