@@kalamazoo_reefer Where you shocked by the reading you got? Both my lights arent running on the original program because Iost both somehow. I pushed LPS mode on my noopsyche but recently found out that their program for LPS is supposed to be an 18 hour run time! Seems crazy to me and I have only been running it 12 so probably much lower par then it should be so now I am scared to change it! LOL. Because I invested in a lot of high end zoas. I will probably wait until I move them to the frag tank!

@kalamazoo_reefer I just went and added it to my wishlist. It's a luxury item for sure, but I've got a Nicrew HyperReef 150 over a IM50 Lagoon and have no clue where to set my lights. I've got it turned down quite a bit right now, but this would be amazing to dial in. Honestly, it would be worth getting and renting it out to local reefers, which aren't many in my area. Hmmmm....

@@ShrimpNReefDude I think you could do it. Rent it out for weekends at fifty bucks a pop. It’s one of the toughest things in the hobby. The expense of these devices is just madness.

@kalamazoo_reefer The Apogee model is the "gold standard" but like anything else, they've come to realize that and charge a premium for it! I'll have access to one of those next month from a reef club near me. Part of becoming a supporting member of their forum grants me access to the meter for a couple weeks at a time. It would be great to get this one and when I have the apogee and do a side by side and document it. If I do it, I'd be glad to send you as much info as possible.

@@ShrimpNReefDude Awesome. The more info the better. Telegraham did a lengthy comparison between this budget model and the Apogee 510, and found that this budget model was only reading at 5% lower par (or less), so it seems pretty accurate for the cost.

Totally worth it.

@@kalamazoo_reefer I just got mine today! Your video sold me! ! I am a little afraid to use it with the pole. I have heard people saying it fills with water but seems to me that you could just put a silicone seal on the hole on the bottom if thats where the water comes from. Why did you go through the hassle of switching the pole? I am switching tanks and lights so I really needed to know par! So did you just turn it on and put in tank? That simple? I did like that The itc show a spectrum graph. Is there anyway to get the spectrum from this and what does DLI or MOL mean? Is that the same as pur? I am pretty sure pur means the percentage of usable light thats beneficial to corals. I have a strip light on my nano and somehow I lost the program so for now I just plug it in and let it rip! LOL Stupid I know so I put some duct tape over some of the whites, reds and greens so I have no idea if its running the right spectrum! I also thought it was very important to know the par before I use a program again, coarls seem fine except for my zoas but I think my conch is eating them or definitely irritating the hell out of them!! Is it hard to program it to keep track of reading ect? Is there any other features it has that you didint mention? Great Video! New subscriber here!
