The fact that they're only bringing 50 to the U.S. just adds to that specialness. But it comes at a price. Do you think these upgrades are worth 30k more than a regular RC F? That engine is a masterpiece. That engine and exhaust sound is car porn. I love this car. Those brakes are from the LFA. I NEED IT. It Looks wild I love that red interior and red carpet. all it needs it some window tint and it will look killer. What I will say is they should have upgraded the tires a level up from the standard RCF. Anyone that says Lexus makes boring cars are in denial. This is a drivers car for sure.

It's still north of 4000lbs. Compared to everything else in its price range. You'd just be wasting your time with all of the cars that'll wipe the floor with this thing.

@@carboydorifutoparty3976 It depends if your goal is to have fun or win races. This car will not win races, but it will continuously give you joy during the decades you will use it on the track. Also, the 3'902lbs are not uncommon in todays car culture, BMW M5 is 4370 lbs, Mercedes R AMG GT 4167lbs, Mercedes C63 AMG 3874, Lamborghini URUS 4850 lbs, Kia Stinger 4204 lbs. Lighter car exist, yes, but the great part of the market is around those numbers.

The Lc500 is in another bracket of insurance cost. My RCF costs me 150/month a lc500 was quoted at 240/month. I agree though, i'd get the Lc500 any day its just more stunning of a car. Performance wise they're equal. Same engine, transmission, etc. Lc has a better interior as well. Maintenance of the Lc500 might be a tier higher though even though you can bring them to Toyota there comes a premium for having their current top of the line. Still, RCF Track < Lc500

@@G_Eighty there's other factors that contribute to higher insurance rates for certain cars. Where you live, price of vehicle and even credit score is attributed in certain areas.

Johnny Chin Yeah like the other guy said, I have a brother in west tx and pays $80/month for a z06 at 26 y/o. I live in the tri state area in a populated city(20 mins from manhattan) but i'm getting a lot of discounts to even bring it down to 150 w/o discounts it'd be around 200/mo clean record as well. It's mostly where you live, age and your driving record that matters, not much about credit score. Still 50/month extra is a lot($600/year). I'd love to get ur insurance rates but sadly im an east coaster. It doesn't help that we have a higher vehicle theft rate here either :/

You can buy low mileage 2015 RCFs for high 30s low 40s and has pretty much the same performance. That would be a much better buy

An even better buy is the get a used GSF. Extra 2 doors and can be used as family sedan. Problem with these is they are ONLY RWD

Yeah, $96k is kind of a problem. You can get GT-R, a nicely optioned C8 Corvette, and even within the Lexus camp a LC 500 which look fantastic.

@@nathantaylor4043 Honestly the oil change is what will cost a lot and often. By alot I mean 50 bucks for the oil cause it takes 9.8 qts. Tires are whatever, brake pads could be more expensive depending on what is put on. Rotors might cost more. And gas. My ISF got expensive at 160k+ miles. Valley plate job was pricey cause I broke injectors and any tech will getting to the spot. Besides that every other dollar spent has been on mods.

Overprice if buying new and owning only for 3 years. But, I will keep my GSF for at least 15 years and very sure it will run as new all the time. So it is very cheap for me... (especially buying used one!!!)

Honestly Lexus reliability combined with audi/Mercedes level tech would be amazing but Lexus still seems to live in the 2000’s. They need to redesign all infotainment across the bored. Same with Toyota but not quite as badly. (Since they aren’t luxury cars I have lower tech standards for them)

Much of what you are paying for besides an awesome car is excellent reliability and materials that won’t break and crack like many of the German competitors. The Lexus will last for a loooong time if it is taken care of properly.

If this car got the interior from the new Lexus LC500 or ES350 I would totally buy this thing. It's unfortunate the Lexus would go through all the effort to redesign the RC but not put the new Lexus interior in it.

Absolutely no utiliy. Buy a Radical if you want supersports car. This is a sportscar that can be used daily for track use.

@@boboutelama5748 I have a 2014 is 350 and a 2016 RX 350 amongst other cars too. I will be trading in for something new but not this. Too expensive but also not what I look for in a Lexus. I like my Lexus practical and my sports cars impractical.

Other have families and need to daily their cars, going to the gig with their pals and with their 4x12 Marshall's in the back. And, ocasionnaly, go to the Schleife. This one and his little brother can do exactly that. The LC500 is more of a perfect reprensentative car. You can really show off in front of the Opera with that, and have a good amount of fun too. It's less sharp or radical than this one though.

30k more they put it into the vehicle, all the carbon💰💰💰 made in house from lexus. Not just for show but carbon you cant even see. The carbon brakes alone are probably 15k easily. Changed gear,lighter, they actually made changes and didnt just make it the same vehicle and bump the horse power like other car companies. That's the easy way out, bump 50-100 hp and call it xxx and charge 50k more. Plus only 50 in the us...that's very exclusive.

Ashish Patel any bmw or Mercedes is a much better car quality wise than these rebadged Toyotas. Also, I work for Mercedes Benz at a dealership, and I’ve seen cars come in with 800,000+ miles from the early 2000s that haven’t had anything with the motor nor transmission replaced, so this comment does not prove anything except for proving you wrong. Robert Blackford toyota owns Lexus, which is why I call every Lexus a rebadged Toyota. When it comes to a company like rolls Royce or Lamborghini, who are owned by VW, you can’t really call them rebadged Volkswagens because VW owns SO MANY COMPANIES but toyota owns Lexus, hence, your Lexus will be the shit quality of a Toyota 👍🏿

The entire industry rebadges cars because people want a high end car with high end bells and whistles. The only difference is lexus and Acura are one of the few reliable luxury cars.

And that is the only perk of buying a Lexus vs a Mercedes or BMW. I’m a Toyota dealer mechanic and I took a BMW over any Toyota product, although I drove a few older Camrys, Sienna vans and Corollas in between for my buy/fix/sell business. Particularly on the later Toyota cars it’s just rattle complaint over rattle complaint from customers. Interior quality is no where near as good nor is t better to drive. My BMW is 10 years old and it doesn’t rattle at all and the steering wheel actually feels connected to the wheels. Buddy’s RX350 the seat keeps on rattling. I have no major reliability issues either, they’re not hard to work on and I know where to get cheap parts.

If it's supposed to be a track edition. Why keep the back seats? Those should be removed for $30k more especially when they put carbon fiber in other areas.

What’s the deal with manufacturers making cars have more wheel gap in the front than in the rear.

Ben Quereau exactly. There should be more in the rear and less in the front due to suspension squatting upon acceleration, that would be optimal for a drag setup. For a track setup, just a bit Lower in the front and that would be fine

Of course the Track Edition RC-F is not worth $95K. As a former RC350 AWD owner, I can tell you that the platform of the car is excellent. The RC350 just needed a supercharger and some better brakes to make it world class. But for this car, does Lexus really think a wing, some brakes, a little different interior, and some carbon bits, will make some fictional person pay $40,000 over a slightly used, regular RC-F? How does that make sense? Oh, and if you really want to pay nearly $100K for a sports car, just buy a Nissan GT-R, which will beat this car is all performance categories, and disappear from it (AWD rocks!) once the weather turns soggy.

It’s basically a BMW with Lexus on the front the engine are now being made by BMW, not sure if reliability is going to suffer because that’s basically what Lexus Is known for

AntBall40 The V8 in the RCF is a Toyota/Lexus designed and built engine. Nothing in the RCF is from BMW.
