REVIEW: 3 TON HUSKY GARAGE JACK IN ACTION. (Lifting Honda Civic)

Hey guys... The last time I made a video about this husky 3 ton garage jack it was an unboxing video. Today we are going to be putting it to use, we’re going to see it in action. I’ve had this Jack for about a month now and I use it often. I like it, you guys let me know what you think. Let’s go lift this Honda Civic with our 3 ton husky floor jack and see how it performs.

I’ve bought this jack 4 years ago from Home Depot, still working great no problems, I later got low profile jack from harbor freight cuz I lowered my car and this wouldn’t fit.

@@JohnnysWhips Harbor freight is pretty much same as husky honestly I actually use HF more cuz it’s low profile I use husky for my SUV

@@wafi3187 nice! Careful with HF jack stands. There was a recall on them, they issued a replacement and then they recalled the replacements as well. I don’t remember which ones exactly but if you look it up you’ll find it. I appreciate you watching the video.👍

Berke .A I bought the kit with husky two husky 3 ton jack stand, 3 ton floor jack and the creeper, the creeper is a absolute junk but the jack stand and jack it self is great

It’s a nice jack. I bought it a few months ago and I use it a lot. So far it has been working great, no problems. I got it at Home Depot for $129US Dollars. I like it, it was worth the money in my opinion. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.

are you in canada? i saw a 2-ton husky jack on sale for $34 or a 2.5 ton a princess auto for $70. are jack stands a must for a tire swap? can you just put your tires under ?

Patrick No, I’m in California. Jack stands are not a must fit a tire swap. That’s a really good price.

Javi I was able to use mine straight from the box without having to grease it up or add oil.

is it worth it to get one compared to just using the factory jack that comes with it?

Chris, I would say yes because it’s much easier to lift a car with a jack like this Husky one instead of the factory jack that comes with your car.

Does the handle spring up to the vertical position all the time or will it stay horizontal?

It stays stays horizontal. It won’t come up automatically. 👍

@@JohnnysWhips I have a similar one..it’s a Mastercraft. I think it’s the same as a Craftsman. The handle springs to the vertical position it won’t stay vertical.

Hey bro I just got this back tonight, what if the handle isn’t locking in? I turn it to the right but it ain’t locking in like yours is. Sick shoes btw

You cannot put the jack stand in the middle of the car. Look at service manual to see jacking points are next to the wheels only (where you lifted with jack). Also you should use two jack stands to lift the side not one like you did here. Putting crap advice online can kill some1.

You’re right, every vehicle has jacking points. To all who read this , refer to the owners manual of your vehicle to locate jacking points and place jack stands under that specific location. Thanks Bike Daily. Appreciate it. I’m learning...

Some model Hondas have a jack point in the center under the engine bay. Makes it easier to drain the oil pain. It's in my Accord's owner's manual.

Take the rubber handle off the arm and look into the pole... Is it rusty? Just picked one up and saw it is rusty in there. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the rest of the product unless I just got a lemon.

No, mine was not rusty. If you don’t feel comfortable with that specific one that you have I would highly recommend that you exchange or return it. Don’t take any risks with a car jack.

Gilberto, yes you can use this jack to lift a 2018 Nissan Sentra sv. Make sure that you use jackstands if you’re going under the car.

What happened to it? You have to turn the metal bar clockwise until it gets tight, then it should lift.
