Hey James. Nice video as usual. I think a good catagory for your people's choice award this year would be best overall locomotives (appearance,details, performance, and sound) People love their motive power.

F6 turns on the red emergency light, which was very common on most all SP diesels (at least up until the 1990s). The emergency light typically only illuminated when the emergency brakes where applied - bonus points for Athearn/Tsunami for shutting of the regular headlights when the emergency lights is flipped on. SP also primarily used "Pyle Gyra" lights which are similar to a "Mars" light. Each made by different companies, and oscillated in different patterns.

Man!.....that is a nice looking engine and detailing is excellent. I've noticed that most manufactures are going with led bulbs in favor of incadensent and wish athearn would do the same. I would even be willing to pay a little bit more for this feature instead of doing the switch myself. Other then that great engine.

Please do the Northern Pacific/SP&S challenger by Athearn Genesis when it comes out in late October.

we have an e8 with DCC and sound it's walthers proto and we got a great deal it originally was 300 we got it for 150 at the train show brand new

Very cool review James, They look great ,i wish they would have used Tsunami 2 or lok sound , but still a very nice set of loco's.

I do think that loco would look splendid pulling a rake of Viewliners.

Can you do a review on the sergeant engineering couplers please? (NOTE: they do not work with cadee couplers, you would have to replace all the couplers, how ever you can try them on an old rolling stock that you don't use)

Not a single model company made a correct B unit. Not even rapido. Yes they have a control stand inside. On the F end which is noted on a B they have a small headlight and horn, behind the truck is a bell. On the rear end of a A and B unit they have a head light on the engineers side. I have only ever seen rapido do it once on the FL9, it would be nice to have it on plus they had a strange horn unique to them. Even though some think it is silly and not needed. Your paying 300 bucks a unit so you would expect to get the best you can. If brass can rip you off not doing it then your really missing out.

Please less pull-tester/height gauge tests ,and more of models "doing the business" pulling trains around your circuit at the end of your shows. Very nice sound on these units would have liked to see them going through the motions.
