I have 3 Bud Cutters, and I am extra lucky as he only lives 40 min from me! I wish I had found him before I purchased my tank and I would have 4 instead!

I can't wait to get one of his cutters- and support a "local" ( to me) guy! I'm pretty sure the wood is oak- pine is much too soft.

Great looking cutter. I'm working on being able to do that with wood myself. I already do make and sell a particular cutter that I designed that cuts slabs, loafs, single bars and melt and pour so I can say from experience that your cutter not being able to cut melt and pour is NOT the result of how hard melt and pour is but is the result of too much friction from your wire. Wire has bumps which transfers to the soap thus causing friction. The friction is greater then the strength of the wire which breaks the wire. Try changing wire or cutting slower. I can tell by your soap there is way too much friction which is not your fault. I use 30lb fishing line. Haven't broke one yet. Of course, in my design the soap goes through the line while yours is the opposite so it might or might not work. I don't know. I have a single bar bud cutter also so one day, when my line breaks, I might test that out. Which by the way, due to the nature of wire, I STRONGLY ADVISE PEOPLE TO NOT TIGHTEN AND LOOSEN THEIR WIRE. Until then, what the single bar cutter cant do I use my own personal fishing line cutter that I don't sell. That handles everything easily. I've been making soap for about 9 years now. If I would have thought of this design along time ago it would have saved me a lot of money. (actually not! Because I had to buy the proper tools to make it right. That was expensive!)

would love to get one of his cutters. I had that metal one and it was worthless. The slicer would get stuck in it, and the soap was never the same size. I threw it out.!!

I just got one of buds cutters and it came warped so doesnt sit flat and it rocks :o( was very disappointed because of the price and getting it shipped from the us to the uk. I think I was just unlucky, I havent heard of anyone else having issues.

I have one of Buds cutters as well and it came warped. Doesn't sit flat. Every time I have to tighten the wires, it just warps it even worse. Kinda wish I'd of bought a tank. At least the metal frame work wouldn't have warped.

Valhalla Soap Company I guess that may be from it being wood? Have you tried maybe adding a thicker foot pad on the corner to even it out? Might work. That stinks that it warped but I can imagine with wood + humidity that could happen. The plastic part should still be flat I would imagine? Have you tried contacting Bud about it?

Good Earth Spa As someone who makes handmade products I understand thing dont always work out even with the best of intentions so I did not want to complain to bad about an otherwise great item...i still love it even though it wobbles :o)

Good Earth Spa Wow that is a good price. It's less than half the price of another one I was looking at the other day. It looks well built too. Hmmm. I love your videos. There's always really good info in them.
