Best customer support! :) Sim-labs makes a mount for the P1-X which makes the MPV3 a perfect fit; even better than the NLR cockpit as it does not raise the seat as much in the P1-X.

Lost one arm and got thrown three times against the ceiling after a 250 km/h jump with and McLaren F1 at Fonteny... That said, head fractures are worth the racing feelings friends. Believe me, you won't forget them that soon. It could save ur life if u try a real car. Yep don't go too far with realism settings, that said. Very safe product otherwise. Thx so much Sim604 for review.

Enjoy this new piece of excellent sim gear Mike. Hopefully you will have as much fun with it as I have over the past three years. Just for fun --> turn all sliders to the max one time and get really thrown around in your seat. VR in combination with this NLRv3 is perfect! Probably old news for you but don't forget to subscribe to the NLR discord channel. Also a very friendly and helpful community.

Good for you, and welcome to the club. We need to get Jammie "The Sim Contender" into motion simulation. How do you feel when sliding and using the wheel/pedals, asking this because mine is all attached to my DOF Reality. Wish the DOF software, wasn't pay per year for other options to use and wish it was made simpler. Still loving Motion sim`s and what it brings to the table, have fun and don't to forget to abuse your curbs 🥳 PS Thank you DOF Reality.

It fits my P1x and GT1 EVO very easily. SimLabs new NLR brackets also allows the platform to sit as low as the default seat rails on the P1x. Unlike the older bracket that raised the platform in turn raising the seat higher. You wont be able to use the Buttkicker Gamer II mount though. You'll have to replace the 500mm back piece of 40/240L profile with a 500mm 40/80L profile. No biggie. NLR also told me if you modify the holes so you can mount a non NLR seat it does "NOT" void the warranty. Just get a metal flle and widen the holes a little bit.

This is so weird. I was planning to order a buttkicker gamer 2, but yesterday I heard I got a fat bonus from my job. Wanted to ask what the noise levels are like? Looks like a good compromise, I maybe could get used to the steering wheel not moving in sink with the seat but "DOF reality" setup which can be upgraded to a full platform later seems like a better long term investment....

Great review. I'm trying to decide on upgrade equipment from my entry level wheel/pedals and NLR FGT-Lite cockpit running with consoles. I'm very interested in buying kind of an all-in-one solution from an established company like NLR. Pairing their seat with this motion platform and a Fanatec DD wheel with load cell type pedals is what I'm shooting for. Would love to hear your thoughts Mike on using something like this versus the other motion platforms on the market. I'd love a setup like Will at Boosted Media has, but I'm more on the "good used car" budget when building something out. I really like the small footprint of this unit and the ability to add a butt kicker to it. Love your channel man! Keep up the great work. God bless and race on.

This might sound a little "silly" Mike - but given how you mentioned that you (naturally?) feel all the bumps & curbing using this incredible hardware................ But I'm curious if you drove the Bathurst track - whether you would actually feel an "overall" leaning back as you go up the steep mountain - then a "push" towards your sim-racing-wheel as you go down it again??? [;]-)

@pstoppani
@pstoppani 3 жыл бұрын
That is a "downside" of the v3; it raises the seat quite a bit. You end up needing to raise the steering wheel and the pedals; the latter not being the easiest thing. I found the v3 to be a much better fit in an aluminum profile rig than the NLR cockpit.

In VR it is excellent. For many first time VR guests it makes all the difference. In Dirt Rally 1/2 most guests would get nauseous in VR pretty quickly. With the NLRv3 it appears to trick your brain enough that nausea is MUCH less of an issue. Most people instead of turning green after a few minutes are still enjoying it 15-20 minutes later. FYI I have mine mounted inside a SimLab P1 rig using 1/4" aluminum angle to mount it. SimLab also now has mounts specifically for the NLRv3 so it is a very simple operation.
