Join us as we tour the facilities at 3 Palms Action Sports Park just north of Houston in Conroe Texas.
They have a total of five MX tracks here giving a variety of options. Beginners to pro level riders can find something to enjoy here.
Kids track - SX Night Track
Beginner track - Woods Track
Intermediate track - MotoSport GP track
Advanced track - Lucas Oil Main Track
They allow camping, have electric hook ups, and have snacks and drinks at the registration booth. Porta-potties around the property and two full restrooms at the registration booth.

I'm an adult beginner. I went there Sat, 11/4/23. First time ever on an MX track. Had sport bikes for years, never rode on dirt before. The annual membership is now $40. The daily practice fee is also $40. I rode the beginner track (Woods), all the way in the back. No jumps, just turns and mild ups and downs. It was a workout riding in soft dirt, especially trying to make turns without falling and my bike having a kick-start (blue 2024 YZ250, 2-stroke) and having to re-start it a lot from bogging it too low (my fault, of course). Right before they closed, I tried a lap on the GP track (4th track from the entrance, right after the kids track). I didn't even make one lap before I decided to exit. It had multiple jumps in a row that were very tall and steep. Almost too much to just roll over. Much taller and steeper than anything I see in this video. Like stuff I've seen on videos of supercross tracks. I would say the GP track is the hardest one and appeared to be the most popular and crowded. Next time I go, I want to try the River track (2nd one from the front). That seems to be the next one up, difficulty-wise from the Woods track. It would be very helpful if they would put signs up marking the name of each track, where the entrance of each track is and which direction to ride in. A sign with a map and name of all the tracks would be helpful, too. Maybe even signs marking the track exits which don't always seem to be the same as the entrance. It's kind of chaotic. But I am very grateful that such a place exists so close to my home. And a couple miles to the north is Cycle Shack North, where I bought my bike from. It's a large bike shop with more MX stuff than any shop I've seen. So, if you need something, including race fuel, they probably have it. Thanks, Alex for posting this video. It helped me a lot.

This is a great comment with detailed information about the track! Thank you for sharing. It's been a while since I've been out to 3 Palms so things obviously have changed a bit since filming this video. The GP track is definitely where most riders spend their time. The river track is one of my favorites because of the time I spent riding in sand in Florida. It doesn't have large jumps but is hard to ride just because of the sand. As you see in my videos, I am not a fast rider- if you ever see me out at the tracks feel free to say hi and we can ride a couple laps together! Ride safe out there!

But 3 Palms seems the bast in the area and an easy drive via 99 and 45. I love watching your videos. They're very informative and helpful. Thanks, brother, for making them. @@Texas3Percenter You should also check out IronDog in New Ulm which is not too far west of you. They have a vet track now (it's not in my review video) which I hear is awesome. They are open 7 days a week weather permitting but only do full grooming for Saturdays.

Could you still ride even if you only got a helmet no boot no shield

Chest protection is not required but encouraged. Boots are "required," but I've seen guys in cowboy boots. I'd suggest against it.

You'd really like riding here- lots of options. Chill out and ride the Woods track, or go play in the sand for a solid workout.

I'd suggest calling to confirm- but I think you can use them as a pit vehicle- and they do charge for pit vehicles.

Cool video. Is the river track the one that is kind of straight ahead when you are coming in toward all the tracks before you start curving left to go towards the kids track and the GP track? I guess the first one past the main track?

Yes, as you enter you pass the main track first, the river track is at the corner where the road turns left. You will next pass the kids track then the GP track. The woods track is in the way back.
