Review of Rave Yarn (Joann Exclusive)

Hello! Let's take a closer look at the new Rave yarn from Joann.
I had a bit of trouble with this one. It's great on the Addi. It's nice to crochet. I'm not enjoying handknitting with it. So I'm going to give it three different scores:
Addi: 10/10 kitty paws!
Crochet: 8/10 kitty paws!
Knitting by hand: 3.5/10 kitty paws

Good afternoon Erin 😊🎉I cannot wait to hear all about the new big twist raveyard what you think what you know and what you like and don't like about this yard! Your daughter has great taste in yarn! I think Chomps needs them both because your son is so awesome! I think all of the big twist Raves are gorgeous! And I could not pick which one I like the best.❤! I really love the safety cone neon orange and dark gray colorway of the big twist rave. You know at the beginning of the year they said that yarn prices were going to go through the roof. Fortunately or perhaps, unfortunately that has not been the case and I have purchased way more yarn than I needed. Joanne is practically giving yarn away at this point so at the six month level, I have come to the realization that there will be no scarcity of yarn. 😂

I think a change to metal knitting needles will make a huge difference. I discovered that with slippery yarns wood needles seem to hold the yarn better.

Happy Tuesday! Thanks for the review. I had bought 6 of 2 different colors to make something with, but havebt used them yet. The colors took me back to my high-school years in the 80's so i wanted to try them for maybe a couple of fun throws, who knows LOL. I do love most of the colors

Hi Erin have you ever tried to condition your bamboo needles. I just use hand cream on my hands and rub it almost all in Then rub the needles with your hands. The more you use those needles the smoother they get. I only do them once and they do seem to get a little darker with age.

I feel like the Unicorn color is a " which of these is not like the others" situation. I was good and did not buy any of the Rave. We'll see how long that lasts.

I wonder if that's not subtly the point of that colorway being made that way and named that. It's a nod to all the people in our society who are unique "unicorns" in their own ways.
