I've owned this sack for a month. I've used the rucksack on a four-day hike carrying at least 18 kilograms. Plus, two one day hikes. It's comfortable without a doubt.
The pack is light at 1.02 Kilograms.
Despite its lightweight build it is extraordinarily strong with and weather resistant. It uses 210 Cordura Ripstop Nylon with 100 Cordura Nylon - reinforced with Liquid Crystal Polymers with a Durable Weather Resistant (DWR) finish. Whether it would take an entire day of rain is unlikely, but I have not tried the sack in the rain.
The sack even has the familiar dry sack roll-down style of closing.
The downsides for me are possibile failure of the many elasticated cords on the sack. And the pointless trekking pole attachment system.
Overall, it's a ten out of ten sack for me.

Lovely review! Next time you do a bag review it would be great to see it packed so I get a better idea of how it synches down and compresses, but this was a great video - you're a natural!

Shucks thanks. Point taken I'm probably going to do a review of the sack again. Like a 6-month on review. But using your suggestion of actually filling it with equipment and put it on my back.

Nice review! I bought this pack and absolutely love mine. The side pockets are amazing and love the vest harness. This bag is epic! Nice job! Great review!

Do you use it as a day pack. Because I'm thinking of buying one. And it is very close and size in some ways to the 48. So I was thinking of going for the 20 let's say.

this was a really good review, well done, looking at this i dont think it has the experience gone in to it that bags like the osprey exos has, this looks a reasonable bag but personally i still think osprey are ahead on functionality.

I have to say I agree with you. It's a very Spartan sack in terms of pockets etc. And I don't like the use of the cinch cord. But it is very light and it is very strong. But it doesn't pack well because of that reason that the material is so thin.

Thank you for your review , I’d like to consult you whether the back panel will easy to crack or not?Does the backpack all good (quality) until today after your two year use?

You had me in Stiches with the 21st and 20th century metrics. Is there a water bladder holder under the inside zip pocket? I thought I saw one in a photo. The inside zip pocket is attached with Velcro.

Hi there is no water bladder holder unfortunately. There is a point where you can can allow the tube to exit either side of the back of the pack. So no holder for the bladder itself which is disappointing.

Great review! Thanks for that! Had any problems with the synch system since?

Have to say the sack hasn't let me down at all and the cinch system is absolutely fine. I should do another review because I've given it a good battering and it still performs great.

Does the front elastic (cinched via the front pocket) help reduce the volume effectively when the bag is not full? I am looking for a new do it all bag for hiking, mountaineering and summer overnights and need something that can handle a variety of volumes.
@WildAboutCamping
@WildAboutCamping 2 жыл бұрын
No it doesn't The cinch is very thin and wouldn't be very effective at reducing the volume

The strap for the poles is supposed to go around the poles and then hook on the little ribbon on your chest. You dont put the poles through the strap. That would not work well. Oterwise great review. I love my pack.

Take a look at the photos on the site, and I've even got in touch with Arc'teryx - the poles go through the strap. arcteryx.com/gb/en/shop/mens/aerios-45-backpack

@@WildAboutCamping ok well. I use them the other way, works perfect. Try it out and see what you think. Both my hubby and I use them wrapped around then hooked at the chest ribbon. No fuss at all.
