Foe the beach cover up....we didn't have sunscreen in the 60s,so you kept your arms,especially shoulder, covered ad the sun burned and blisters worse there. Canvas was used foe Beach bags,shoes,ect for durability,

This collection was fun and promising. I would love to see Raven Maureen make up that last vintage pattern in her cool and modern way. I always enjoy your humor, Lindsey. But I also want to say that I really appreciate the way to teach us to analyze patterns and consider possible issues, instead of just getting swept away by the pretty images. Your ideas about alternative fabrications are super helpful as well. Side note: I wish someone would do a video pronouncing all these different fabric names. A lot of us struggle with them.

I try to approach each pattern objectively/creatively, but you are right.There is nothing saving that "family look" 😄. I appreciated the different fabric suggestions and event options mentioned. Like that loungewear set out of double gauze. Would pass it by but now Im thinking.... double gauze....comfort levels of all kinds😀

Having left my snips at a sewing class on Friday, I'm thinking the cargo skirt narrow pockets would be perfect to carry them round. Comments on the family in blazer and shorts 🤣

Simplicity S9921 is my next purchase. This is too cute. I am into cute for the springtime, summertime, and early fall seasonal crossover. The light weight woven is perfect. Plus, this top speaks comfortable. Now, where's my hunk of watermelon?

Great analysis and comments. Those cargo work skirts are hilarious. Was the brief "make it girls can do anything boys can do, but make it construction..." The majority of the pants fit in a way I would never mind my pants looking, but the question is how would they feel if you sat down? I saw a few potential gaps or wedgies there!

Wow - First release in a long time that made me want to purchase a couple patterns. Even a vintage pattern on my list!! That vintage halter dress would look good on anyone. Gotta LOL to the family look. That was just awful McAwful…

S9916 Vintage One Shoulder evening gown ... I would have liked to see this in a Women's range. I'm only 14-16 but have friends who need Flattering garments Including gowns

I'm genuinely curious about the person who thought up the family shorts and blazer set. Did they grow up in a cult? Are they OK now? They must be high up in the company in order for that idea not to be shot down. I would expect a big fat NO and everyone laughting at the person who brought up that concept - but it soared though development and editing in all its ill-fitting, akward glory. OTOH that first dress was with the pointed yoke and side cutouts is gorgeous. It's giving sweet 80's vibes and but the high neckline is 90's goodness. I like your suggestion of color blocking the top and bottom. Mimi's little sundress could double as a vintage swimsuit - shorten it a smidge and make some matching bloomers. Her sweat suit was nice too. Those pleated pants with the oversize top were gorgeous, the one shoulder top and flappy pants are going home with me for sure. And the first dress with the cutout sides, of course! There were a few designs that were pretty forgettable, but most of this collection was SWEET.

There are 27" of ease at the bust for 9921. Twenty-seven!!! Imagine that on a 31.5" bust, size 8 lady.

Re faux shirring: my skin is irritated by true shirring. Perhaps the elastic in casings will be non irritating. I'd like to give it a try.

9924 looks like it was designed as a hiking skirt but sewn in a "normal" fabric to make it less niche.

I’ve been binge watching your new pattern release videos while hand sewing. You’re very entertaining. However, gotta ask you to go to Google audio to find out how to pronounce some of the fabric types you’re not most familiar with. Like Damask. Accent is on first syllable. And Since they seem to be recommending Faille for a lot of garments it’s starting to make me crazy. Faille is not “fail”, it’s “file”. Any chance you might change your paradigm from “will I wear it to Target” to “would I wear it to lunch with a friend?” “Would I wear it to date night?”
