REVIEW: Sjöö Sandström Royal Capital

This is a review of the Sjöö Sandström Royal Capital watch in Steel. The watch was on loan to me for a week or so, after which I reviewed it with my genuine thoughts and opinions from my time with the watch.

Your pronunciation of Sandström is just fine. That can't be said for for sjöö though.

The way you used to pronounce IKEA is the english way to pronounce it which is totally correct if your British/American - in my opinion. If you want to learn how to pronounce Sjö (lake) Sandström (Sand Current/stream/flow) google translate does a good job pronouncing it. List in May 2019 is 62 700 SEK (20% VAT included).

Thank you very much for reviewing this completely under the radar beauty! From your review, this has immediately become my Grail watch specifically because of its classic looks and because I value both thinness and water resistance (and that glorious display case automatic movement). That said, are there ANY OTHER watches out there that can claim a 100m water resistance with a case thickness of less than 8mm? I've never seen this feat by any other mechanical watch brand. Does the Royal Capital have a screw down crown? Has this claimed water resistance been verified elsewhere.... Or is this a marketing gimmick? Any response would be appreciated!

Its certainly not a marketing gimmick. You can get your watch tested with the same pressure as 100m under water would give at an AD.

I'm not sure what you're saying, woe? the sj in sjöö is pronounced as a soft sh-sound (toung at the back of the mouth as opposed to say '[sh]ower'. öö is...well, just say oo
