This is my review of the Sjöö Sandström UTC Skydiver Black Night. This is a very special watch as it's the official watch of the Swedish Air force.

At 8:51 you press the "light" function and the seconds hand stops, and once the light turns back off it sweeps all the way back to where it would have been. I'm guessing that's supposed to be that way, and not just some sort of glitch in the movement? Never saw that before.

While I would never pay this much for a quartz watch, and the thickness of 15 mm is nuts, I commend you on introducing me to a brand I'd never heard of. Time to look them up and see if there is something they make that I would like. Because an independent brand is always cool, and I really enjoyed my trip to Sweden many years ago.

Alright, holy crap do they make some cool looking watches. Their GMT is amazing. Plus, who doesn't want some umlauts on their watch?

It has the same movement as the ... - Raymond Weil RW Sport 8400-ST-20001 - Tag Heuer Aquaracer CAF1010.FT8011 - Hamilton Flight Timer H64554331 This calibers have one function which makes them interesting: the indication of the week number.

Almost unknown brand outside Sweden. Not mechanical. Looks like any 200$ watch in this style. Too pricey. Better buy Breitling Aerospace, far more better watch, with similar styling and costs 1200-1500$ in the used market.

Price today is $2700 or 23500 SEK (Apr 29 2018). That includes 20% swedish VAT. So $2200 plus your country's VAT is more accurate. Still a lot for a quartz.

It looks like the Hamilton Flight Timer, but too way overpriced. Sjöö guys are completely nuts!.

Pricy. Looks great but that's a big price tag in comparison to other watches most of us have on our list.

Does sjöö mean laake in Sweedish

"Sjö" means lake in Swedish. "Sjöö" is actually a last name. But both are pronounced the same way. Regards GAW

4:56 this watch is radio controlled ? Otherwise the movement works very strange. The minute hand moves every half a minute on 20 and 50 sec. Very werd.
