Hey, love your videos very informative and subjective, if you can, can you backtest my strategy? you only need 2 indicators 1- Detrended Rhythm Oscillator (DRO) by StockMarketCycles 2- supertrend no need to change any settings so i have used this on the 30 min chart and mostly on gold and stocks the conditions for a long trade are: 1- the number last shown on the DRO (the current one displayed at the end of the line) is higher than 30 and the actual value of the DRO is at is under 0 2-if that condition is met we wait till the supertrend turns to green to enter a trade for a short trade its the exact opposite thanks man

When you say risking 2% of 1000 meaning so 20$ lose per trade?

It starts off as a loss of $20, but the risk grows as the account grows. For example, if the trade wins and we now have $1030, we would risk $20.60 on the next trade.

Yes...in my opinion....you should never risk more than 1-3% of your capital per trade....that way you won't get burned out.....and aldo make sure that you have a good risk to reward ratio. At least 1:2. For example, if you're risking 2%, your profit target should be at least 4%. Good luck

Okay so usually people don't explain this part. Your strategy should tell you where to put your stoploss order, then you risk that percentage of your account on that stoploss price movement. Let's say you're going long and your stoploss is the recent low of the chart. You want to risk $20 on this trade. You then need to calculate how many shares of a stock you would need to buy so that if price were to drop to your stoploss, you would lose $20. So let's say the stoploss point is $5 away from your entry. You would need to buy 4 shares for your trade to be working on your equity how you've deemed fit.
