Some people I understand why they came dress down because if no one is dressing them and they just attending the event because they got the invite. I would not expect much from the men side and just glad they are there to support and escort their ladies. Kerry Washington hair was giving the floral garden pixie and worked perfect consider that how fairies' hairdos have been depicted in fantasy projects. I have 4 favorites that you covered and it the lady with the butterflies down her arms, Kerry with that rich bold floral color, lady as the sand of time slipping through the hourglass, and Zandia's both look (blue/green looked like she was a wood character off a movie set) and all black of death ingulfing the florals as they got picked. Carter use to assist Roach so I personally believe the teachings of KNOWING your muse and telling a continuous story with said muse stems from his time with Roach. I'm sorry Carolyn, but I didn't hate Doja's carpet look and the explanation of it being a play on the most used flower in fashion and the white t-shirt being one of the longest standing pieces in anyone's wardrobe made me not hate it even more. Bad Bunny was chef's kiss but like I said, Margiela... automatic win. Like you noted with Luar/Raul, I didn't see much coverage of Willy Chavarria (who dressed Colman and Leon Bridges) Chavarria is a Mexican designer who not only won the CFDA Fashion Award last year but is also the SVP of Design at Calvin Klein currently. And one of my personal favorite designers. Those stylists played a nasty game with Serena (per usual) and Lizzo. Hate to see it. It wasn't on theme but I think Rita Ora's husband's look was killer! Gigi Hadid’s dress tho very literal was very beautiful. Classic Thom Browne elements upon close inspection… Bad Bunny reminded me of an avant garde Prince Charming in Margiela and the hat he wore was very reminiscent of a hat Romeo (of Romeo & Juliette), would’ve worn. Loved it! Kylie Jenner was a complete miss. She never quite seems to be able to read the room 😂

We had a lot of the same notes- particularly about some of the hair choices lol. Doja and cotton comment…..(note: she mentioned that the dress was actually wet and they also used hair gel to keep the look.) I wish the MET would start revoking invites at the gate for those not in theme or make them wait last in line. 😂

My top was undoubtedly Tyla….my God…stunning! My least was Ariana. Like were you going to to your unfashionable wedding???? No ma’am. Elle was a vision and I actually loved JLo’s look. This year’s Met gala was quite underwhelming! It’s unfortunate that the guest confused the theme of the Met exhibit with the dress code for the actual gala as they were two different things! The confusion was so glaring that Anna Wintour issued an apology when doing press! Kim K may have been inspired by the runway show but it had nothing to do with the Exhibit or the dress code for the night. Kerry’s wig ridiculous. Serena looked tragic! She’s too rich and too old not to want and do better. I felt it was a bust with the exception of some good looks sprinkled in. Thanks for the Met Gala fashion recap! 😊❤️
