Well Carolyn in the large scheme of things it was an honest mistake on your part and at the end of the day it is simply a bag. Which for me, it isn't that big of a deal. However, for you it might be because when it comes to fashion it appears to me that you are a believer in integrity and authenticity. I say stay true to you. You appear to be one, that likes to, "Keep it a buck" and having said that, I think you should maybe give the bag to someone, perhaps an associate of yours that might enjoy it without the mixed emotions. I say wear it as a bum bag. Going to the beach, wear it. Going somewhere you don't want to wear your nice bags, wear it. Traveling and worried that your bag might get stolen. Wear it!

I am noticing that paying the high price for the designer item can still leave you with some very poor workmanship and materials. Shocked that on Amazon that actual dupe are sold but you purchased a genuine leather handbag, and you might as well get the usage from it that you paid for it because you can't sell it for what you got it for because they could order their own if that the case. I would never call out on the legitimacy of something a person has on because it none of anyone else's business. My son informed me that his bride has an option for wearing fake when they out and about because why would someone want to feel like Carrie when her shoes got stolen but he just wants to be able to hand it over with no regrets. Buying a luxury bag is the stupidest investment. I personally don't think it's worth spending so much money on a bag. It is better to invest in gold. Of course I also like those big-name bags. But I couldn't bear to give up the money. So all my bags are replicas of H Q D U P S.

The luxury climate has been off for some time now. For bags, I buy exclusively vintage because the quality is still high. Many eBay sellers have great products, excellent service and the reviews to match. Also, getting off label teats is important. Vintage Coach leather is better than any Chanel produced today IMHO.

No judgement at all!! It’s an honest mistake but at least now you know you want the real thing. Wear this one when you go to the gym , airport etc wherever you just need a bag to throw around and then the real one on other occasions which will keep the real pristine and uphold the value 💕

You mistook it for a dupe. Try and rub the brand off. Seriously though, people should boycot counterfeits. A dupe is fine, but counterfeits are made to totally mimick the originals wich is tasteless and sad imo.

Honestly if you feel this weird about it, it probably means you won’t ever wear it and or will constantly feel self-conscious about it. Now you know that you do like the style of bag, so it’s served its purpose in a way, I would resell it to someone who knows it’s a replica.

If you can afford the bag, go get the OG. Is there a "non refundable" clause when you by a $2,000+ (high-end) bag and it doesn't work for you or meet your expectations? Is it shameful to return it? I do not participate in super costly👈🏾 consumerism. I have many purses. I love them all, but they become "just" another bag after I am over the glow. All things are just👈🏾 things 👈🏾 at the end of the day. I think I do a good job at being a fashionista while shopping TJMaxx and cute boutiques. If the bag is causing you such angst let it go, give it away...for nothing, nada, no cost and get the real one if that makes you happy😁💯🦋💕

I say keep the bag and wear it. It’s not that serious. You barely see it and no one really is thinking about that brand unless they know brands. Or take it to an artist to put art on it. If it’s leather I say keep it wear and throw it around. Besides these designers are tripping and abusing employees to make these designer bags.

Gurl, call Amazon’s customer service and speak to a representative😂, they will issue a refund and tell you to keep the item. You can then donate it to your local Goodwill because even though it’s not what you wanted someone indeed put in the work to make the bag 🤷🏾‍♀️

My question is would you rather wear the fake bag without the branding or the one with the branding that still gives credit to the orginal creator. Think about your fathers photos, getty images using his photos without the credit is the equivalent to you wearing the marguax bag without the branding. Carolyn I totally feel you on this one BUT here’s my argument….Dior has been in the news for its labor practices, and so was Chanel. How do we know The Row doesn’t use a 3rd party to make their bags made in China or somewhere else. What if the designer you purchased from on Amazon is a 3rd party contractor for The Row and other designers and makes their bags. We have no idea what is going on in China so I would keep the bag. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don’t think you need to feel unethical about duping a bag that was most likely made in an unethical factory, which then was charged 40-50 times what it costs to make to the customer. That authentic margaux bag costs probably $200 to make. Don’t feel bad about not supporting millionaire and billionaires. Small independent artists are the ones that need creative protection not billion dollar companies. I say wear it and enjoy it. It looks really nice. I’ve been eyeing dupes myself but I don’t care about brand names. Quality, functionality, and value are the important things for me but I can see why you’re conflicted in your line of work and are trying to get work with brands. With the Dior and Armani scandals and Tanner Leatherstien’s channel on KZfaq that cuts up designer bags and estimates their production costs no one needs to feel bad about dupe bags anymore when they have been duping consumers and workers for years.

Just as a friendly FYI; I can typically tell what is a replica and what is a dupe by where the item is coming from. If it is going to take 30 plus days because it is shipping from China or the manufacturer, 9/10 it’s going to be a replica. If it ships from Amazon, it’s going to be dupe. Now, don’t get me wrong, some replica’s slip past Amazon from time to time but, because of the fact that Amazon has sued manufacturers and influencers over this, they typically will not take the chance. It’s a lovely bag. I would take it to have name removed from the leather and change the hardware then wear it.
