I can't say that I'm too surprised at the results of this movie and I'm glad I decided to skip it. The concept on paper didn't interest me because it felt like a lot of recent blockbusters that just use franchise names as brands so that they have a built in audience. Sometimes it works but most of the time this method feels like a cheap attempt to use something to prop up a weak script and that is exactly how I felt when I saw the trailer. Also that fact that they don't deeply explore how the world would be different without the beatles is crazy. Pop culture as we know it would not be the same at all, especially with music. The trailer made it seem like there would be a bigger focus on this aspect. Good review!
