The REAL Bruce Lee would have DESTROYED the Brad Pitt character. The Bruce Lee scene in the movie is a total insult to Bruce Lee.

Mate? ......its a film? And he was known for being a bit arrogant? He apparently challenged an extra on the set of enter the dragon where is probably where he got the idea from that's a well known fact about that film? .....and as far as all this he would have countered that and acting like he was superman that was also films nobody is like that in real life and its also a known fact that Bruce Lee did admire Ali which again is why it's probably in the film like that? ..... it's a movie his just took things that were a little known about him and made it fiction? .....but everyone seems to think that he would be able to kick everyones arse like in the movies and that's not the case at all? ......

When the martial arts school refused to teach the arts to non Chinese students, it was Bruce who fought hard to break the mold and allow others to learn it. I don't know much but that doesn't sound like someone cocky and elitist.

Nobody really knows how Bruce Lee was. He may be confident in front of camera but when cameras are off he could be arrogant.

Quentin Tarantino is ignorant of both martial arts and Bruce Lee. He maybe creating these controversial statements to promote his fictional film.

Quentin hates Bruce because Bruce talked trash about traditional martial art while he was alive and Quentin is a huge fan of traditional martial art. Also Quentin is a fan of Wong Jack Man, who Bruce beat has beated

Bruce Lee is 99% legend. He lives on in the hearts of obsequious fan boys who have no idea what he was like. They are too busy making him what they want him to be

I actually loved the scene even though it's all hype and false...too many idols of martial arts act this way...common meme. Humor has A price and exaggeration is part of comedy. Somewhere along the line society has lost the art of humor...due to dividing and larger BS agendas.

As a human being he was 120lb man with a boy body. Looks good for film and its cheap to use boy bodies and shorties in Hollywood. Bruce Lee would get folded like origami by someone as strong and naturally fit as a professional athlete like Kurt Angle a true world champion combatant. Ali would turn a 120 lb boy body into a speed bag to say the least.

I thought the Bruce Lee scene was pretty harsh. I have to admit that it was funny, though disrespectful to Bruce. There is an interview with green hornet actor where he says Bruce Lee stuntman. I don't know the truth but here's a link to the interview. Decide for yourself. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rpilrLZmmd7XZqM.html

I can see why they always wanted white actors to play Chinese parts. Because look how this Bruce Lee acts here on set. He is cocky and arrogant. To me it was the opposite, the cocky and surpreme were the John Wayne white guys who always dominated the Asians in every way on screen. The real Bruce Lee wanted to change the way Chinese were portrayed subservient on screen for decades upon decades. He refused to wear a pigtail and turned down many roles. Yeah its just a movie, but how would white people like to see The American Sniper Chis Kyle portrayed in a film where he was cocky and arrogant and lost to a Chineses guy who could shoot better than him, for purpose of story. He wasn't just an actor or a martial artist he was one man who lifted up and empowered an entire race of people. .

It was so lame. Bruce was so much faster than any of those guys. People can say anything, but Bruce was an unbelievably powerful man and he was unmatched in speed. That was really some crap! Bruce was arrogant, but he could back it up!

Yeah bruce was very respectful But the guy who played bruce lee did a great job with his voice and mannerisms I for a second thought that was him for a second because of the guy talking then I realized it's a new looking movie it doesn't look old and it's made in 2019 so I was like yeah he died in 1979 so of course it's not him but he did good with his voice and mannerisms for damn sure

I love Bruce Lee as much as anyone, but we don't need to deify him. It is fine to have parody from time to time. No need to get our panties in a twist. The movie is not a documentary. Also, bringing race into this is just absurd. The theory about using the controversy to promote the movie is also completely unfounded, China refused to air the movie because of the scene, cutting off the worlds largest market.
