I can see why they always wanted white actors to play Chinese parts. Because look how this Bruce Lee acts here on set. He is cocky and arrogant. To me it was the opposite, the cocky and surpreme were the John Wayne white guys who always dominated the Asians in every way on screen. Also, bringing race into this is just absurd. The theory about using the controversy to promote the movie is also completely unfounded, China refused to air the movie because of the scene, cutting off the worlds largest market.
