please learn how to use an audio compressor when there is a person far from the mic and close to the mic so you don't have to forget to manual keyframe volume ever again they are built right into your NLE even if its imovie 07’, in a better NLE you can even do it to whole tracks by just clicking that little arrow in the Chanel mixer window! It even lets you route submixes of multiple tracks to apply effects to as a group before going to the master channel for even more audio effect possibilities!

also for height anxiety close one eye it kills your depth perception, then you can just imagine its a matte painting cuz with distance there isnt a lot of paralax if you dont move much or fast, and switch eyes often and quick if it gets worse

Fun fact: my high school is 5-10 minutes from Gatorland. We recently had a yellow lockdown because a gator had escaped Gatorland, got on to the freeway, walked THROUGH traffic, and into our school. We were stuck an extra half an hour in our classes because a gator was running up and down the halls (the school is mostly outside; we don’t have a main building, just an arts building and then a series of classrooms along the courtyard) and they had people on campus running around trying to catch it. Dumbest panic attack I’ve had in my life.

LMAO I think I used to go to the same school and we never had a gator show up in my time there but those bigass sandhill cranes posted up outside the orchestra room once and basically barricaded me inside for a good 15 minutes or so after school. Like I’m sure I would’ve been fine they’d probably have just ran away but I was worried I’d spook them at best and that they’d get pissed and peck my eyes out at worst lmaooooo

There was one time we went to Disney and our hotel was close to the wizard giftshop. My dad couldn't get the whole week off for the trip, so he drove up to meet us later (we lived in south Florida). Since it was back before EVERYONE had a smartphone and we sure as shit didn't, my mom gave him directions to get there, using the wizard gift shop as a landmark. He drove up and down the road past the wizard so many times then called my mom and kept going back and forth while she then went out in the other car to try and, like, find him and guide him back, but they didn't see each other. And that's how we learned there are two wizards.

Fun fact: at the same exit as Dinosaur World, if you go down the road that runs between the two gas stations you'll find Keel and Curley Farms, which is a fantastic winery. They make their own wine and cider from fruit they grow on the farm. In the spring they do berry picking (strawberries, blueberries) and I think they do peach picking too. And they have a great little restaurant where everything they serve on their menu is either grown on their farm or locally sourced. I recommend their pina colada wine slush. Not a tourist trap but a great place to visit!

This reminds me of a different winery called Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards that I drove past on Highway 27 on my way to Orlando from Oklahoma, where one of the strangest coincidences I've ever experienced happened. I swear that at the exact moment I was driving past that place, an ad for it was playing on the radio in my car. That was the ONLY time I ever drove by that place and the ONLY time I ever heard an ad for it on the radio. This happened in May 2021. It was late at night and they were closed, so I couldn't have stopped there even if I wanted to (I hate wine, so I wouldn't have, anyway).

Hey, I know I'm just a random stranger on the internet, but I wanted to thank you, Billiam. I grew up in Kissimmee. I actually went to the High School right next to Gatorland. My brother was a worker at the gift shop in that same Medieval Times you went too. I used to go to Old Town all the time. I wonder if that shop that sells crystals and stuff is still open. And the Giant Wizards actually used to terrify me as a kid for some reason. Most of all, I loved going to Disney Springs to check out the Lego store there. I moved up north years ago, and haven't been back since. Watching this video gave me such nostalgia from my childhood. I actually watched it a few hours after it came out, on one of the roughest nights I had in a while. I can't tell you how much I needed that. This might sound silly, but your video reminded me of the simple joys in life, and I'm grateful for it. So thank you. Sincerely, A Random Stranger on KZfaq. BTW, for anyone in the area, I recommend checking out Capone's Resturant. Its a little cheesy, but it's a dinner and a stage show, plus the drinks are good.

The gems and fossils are real and yes the put put is for kids and even the kids loose interest. The bridge is actually the orginal entrance to the park , the front past the bridge used to be orange groves. Tons of cats all over , i ended up adopting one. And yes the museum is either super cool or super creepy depending on if you know what your in for.

I sent him the a like time stamped before you got to that part of the video and watched it together anticipating a good laugh about the place still being there. Then you mentioned the potato...we have had a joke between ourselves about the medieval potato that we reference frequently to this day. When me and my brother were tossed that crumpled piece of tinfoil , one of hundreds from a bin she carried onto our tray and asked "What's that?" - the cold dead 5 mile stare of our waitress who has seen too much war for her someone her age, in the most deadpan of voices telling me "It's a medieval potato." And floating away like a poltergeist - will never not be one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life. I often wonder how she's doing. Miss, if your out there, or any former serfs of that establishment, I hope you found peace and happiness. It's like all my life and memories were lived up til now just for that moment of your video. 21:38 - "Well I'm glad you asked-" Hiya, Paleo-nerd here. If I'm not mistaken, that "fupa" would represent the "ischium" part of the pelvic bone. The prong-like structure of a Saurischian ("lizard hipped") dinosaur's pelvic bones are often separated into 3 distinct regions; the illium (the big anvil-shaped part on top), the pubis (the "prong" facing down) and last the "ischium" (the "prong" facing back). These would be seen in theropod and sauropods respectively. Granted, that "bulge" would certainly not be as exaggeratedly "bulging" in an accurately portrayed theropod dinosaur. Older paleo-art of dinosaurs often shrink wrapped their dinosaur subjects and as a result you tend to see certain bones bulge out of their subjects and otherwise looking very emancipated. Ornithischian ("bird hipped") dinosaurs have a similar hip plan, but was a bit different; which you'd see in hadrosaurs, stegosaurs, ceratopsians, pachycephalosaurs, etc. Also I love your videos! Keep up the great work!

I'm a Florida boy myself. You'll often see lots of gators at those types of farms missing limbs, because when gators fight each other they bite down and roll which often ends up tearing a leg off. And I agree: Just hit the pen in the car before you go inside.

As someone who grew up going to Disney almost yearly, sometimes twice a year but hasn’t been in about a decade, seeing all of these attractions just gave me so much nostalgia. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve passed by these places, never going to them, but they still felt like a part of the experience to me.

I always recount this vivid nightmare as a child that I was trapped in a terrifying arcade with weird things like a bed of nails, hurricane simulator, a weird spinning light bridge, and a room where you play that board game where you strap a headset on and try to move a ball with your mind. I realize now that it wasn't a nightmare, and that I was in Wonderworks for some reason.

Billiam: you have no idea how excited my house got when you started talking about medieval times. The master of ceremonies is a family friend and the red knight is a beloved acquaintance. this makes me so nostalgic. i lived in orlando and clermont briefly in college (yes i was one of those disney college program transplants that stuck around for a while after their program ended lol) and i love seeing all the cheesy attractions in the area. one of my close friends got her first tattoo in old town!!! and every time we drove past the wizards we would try to pose like him. i actually stayed in a motel next to one of the wizards on my last trip to disney and it was such a blessing to wake up and bask in his glory every morning. thanks for making this video!!!! it made me so happy to relive those fun memories!!

Finally, another person who has actually gone to Dezerland. I went last time I was in Florida because it was aggressively advertised to me constantly, and finally I was like "fiNE, I'LL GO TO ORLANDO'S LARGEST AIR CONDITIONED ATTRACTION". It was basically completely empty, almost desolate. There were cars in boarded-up storefronts. Tiny knock-off Tron lightcycles meandered by. I thought I had gone to Floridian entertainment purgatory. It was like a fever dream. What an incredible space.

My family saved up for probably 2 or 3 years to go to Universal, and we finally made it happen for my 11th birthday. We rented a car, went to Cape Canaveral for a day, then checked into one of the cheaper hotel options and finally went to the park. I had an amazing time but my mom was very overwhelmed and we were going to maybe go to Disney World but she just did not have the bandwidth for that shit lol. I’ll have to maybe try to make it back to Orlando again someday. This video actually makes it seem very chill and fun and it has actually inspired me to make a video about tourist attractions in my own adopted hometown of Minneapolis. I’m a big fan of Americana and living in the Midwest I get to see a lot of big concrete statues and little tourist traps but nothing to this scale.

My family likes to take trips to Florida but can’t actually afford any of the major theme parks so I’ve been to all these places so many times. I love Dinosaur World, and can confirm they don’t kick you out for anything, last time I was there I brought a super creepy doll and was taking pictures of it with the dinosaurs and freaking out the other guests lol and no one cared. I’m also looking forward to the video including Mortem Manor from Old Town. That place is fun but honestly a hazard, they have a jumpscare on a staircase (ignoring the famous “no scares on stairs” rule) and the animatronics are close enough to hit you. But my favorite place in Orlando is the Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

I went to gator land with my family a while back and we “wrangled “ the gator as well, I went first, then my brother, then my sister. She was so scared that she wouldn’t sit all the way down on the gator, she’d just barely hover over it, but the guy running the show wouldn’t let her leave until she sat on it. She was flipping out but he literally wouldn’t let her walk away. Everyone in line was cheering her on (mostly cause she was holding up the line I’m sure) and finally, she taps the gator just barely. Everyone cheers, I kid you not, and we are finally allowed to leave. 10/10, would love to go again

I believe you're confusing Ripley's with Wonderworks. Wonderworks is the upside down building, Ripley's is the one that looks like it's half sinking in the ground at an angle. Edit: Oh maybe you meant it was "like a" as in similar to a Ripley's which yes it kind of was even with the actual Ripley's being along the same International Drive.

Something I always point out to anyone coming down to visit Central Florida: You can see launches from Kennedy Space Center from Orlando--including from the theme parks--as long as you have a clear east-north-east view. It's worth checking the launch schedule when you're down to see if you might be in a place to see it. Don't plan your day around it, though, as they often get scrubbed.
