studyquill surprisingly, this is the problem I’ve always had with gel pens! I really only highlight when I use ballpoint pens, and honestly I just can’t write with them for hours anymore! I just use two or three colors now, and only use highlighters when I have reading assignments

studyquill if you check out jetpens’ blog about inks you’ll find a lot of good inks that are waterproof. I currently own 1 that’s waterproof but the others are water resistant

Ah yes... I have a hard time writing with regular pens now that I use fountain pens.. I love them. I love that I can use my fave ink and different colors with out having to buy new pens ❤️

As for your hopes of the gelly roll glaze, if you really want to write on pictures, I highly recommend the gelly roll soufflé!! They’re pastel, when it dries it’s *much* more opaque, and it has a matte finish!!! They’re like the glaze but upgraded!!

My favOrite pen at the moment is the Piolet precise v5! Its a rolling ball pen in .05 or .07mm and feels just like a gel pen. Dries amazing and super smooth!

I am so happy to find another who is as crazy about markers/pens/things that make marks as I am and who is sharing such great reviews. It is always satisfying and helpful when you find a reviewer who shares your favorites so you know you can trust their advice on new products. I knew you were just such a match for me when you said your favorite brush tipped markers were the Pentel Signs! I can only find a small handful of colors in stores so will have to order online I suppose. But ever since I tried my first one I've been in love. Thanks for all the useful info!

If you feel that way about the Sakura glaze, the Sakura soufflé pens are pretty similar but seem to be more opaque. They're pastel too which is pretty

23:32 Paint markers! They're not ideal for paper because they're for people that do art on surfaces like walls or wood, and I personally know them as "graffiti markers" cause people that do graffiti art like to use paint markers for fine lines. I suggest you give them a try on another surface like the ones I mentioned :)

the small marvy brush pens are so good too!! their nibs are super small which had be worried, but they’re super flexible (without fraying easily) for some crazy line variation. i only have one pack of 6 at the moment, but the colors are gorgeous and definitely not anything i have in my other smaller brush pen collections (pentel and tombow fudes).

Anyone considering buying the uni jetstream alpha gel pen needs to know this!! The uni jetstream alpha has been updated (I’m not sure when) and it no longer takes energel refills. I bought 2 and contacted jetpens when the energel ink wouldn’t fit inside of it. Even the worker who emailed me back was not aware of it since he has been using the older version. But later that day he informed me that it was changed.

hi!! the weird little bits that occur when using posca pens are normal if you're using them on regular paper, or paper that just isnt meant for paint in general. any paint pen brand will typically have this issue, mainly because the paper isnt meant for such a wet product to be placed on it, not to mention the firmness of the tips. its sort of like using markers in kids coloring books. the paper sucks so it starts to rub off and make little messes! canvases should work better, maybe watercolor paper too!

I personally have mildliners and I love them! Ive heard in the comments before that those with autism prefer these because of their pastel and muted tones! Will definitely have some in my classroom!

You should try Log+Jotter Pocket Size notebooks! They're a 5$ subscription that you can get that are an AMAZING replacement for Field Notebooks. They're waterproof, come in dot/grid/plain/lined, and each month they have a different cover 🥰 I'm absolutely in love with them!

my absolute favorite pens are the BIC Gelocity pens. they take a minute to try, but if you don't touch them, they won't smudge or even smudge when you turn the page. they are the smoothest pens I have ever had and don't make that awful scratch sound when writing with them. they make writing really quickly easy as well.

i own quite a bit of stationery bc i had a strong studytube phase where i bought a bunch of stuff but these days it's just,,,, black pen for notes where i highlight, fountain pen for other stuff and one (1) marker
