Your wrap ups are always so impressive! I’m on my second book for 2024. I know it’s the quality, not the quantity, that counts. But there are so many books I want to read which makes the slow pace frustrating. The Brothers Karamazov was just released in a Penguin Clothbound Classic earlier this month. Hope your 2024 reading continues off to a good start 😊

I learn about so many books through you as well! Fun to hear about them all even if we can’t get to reading them all.

Yay, The Eyre Affair!! I love the literary nerdiness of that series.

I am not familiar with any of the books, although I've heard of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time books. The Exiles sounds fascinating. Time travel always fascinates me, I don't believe it is possible apart from us moving slowly through time, a day at a time, in the same direction but I like to see how writers use it in their stories, I've read Jane Eyre so the Eyre Affair also intrigues me.

I love thinking about time- I think the bodies and dimension we are in now limits time but in theory there are other dimensions and I hope resurrection bodies 😊

I read the exiles a couple years ago and I really liked it too. The Eyre Affair sounds like a neat book. I’m going to have to pick that one up!

Yes I am late to the party for these books but glad I got here! Great especially after a heavier book too! Thanks 😊

I had picked up Exiles from the library a few years ago, but didn't get a chance to read it. After taking it back, I just never got back around to it. I'll have to mark it down.

Oh yes I think you’d like it. It’s both harrowing and sweet spirited. Nice to have a face paced book too as I normally gravitate to slow burns.

I really loved it - I forget if you read Lessons in Chemistry? If you loved that if has a very similar feel and flavor to me. 🧡

I have tried to get into Jasper Fforde but was never successful. Also 800 pages of nothing happening, eugh what a bore!

I forgot to say that it had very similar feel and flavor to Lessons in Chemistry which many people loved (me) but some really didn’t connect so I could predict how someone would feel about one if they had read the other. And yes if you read all of wheel of time most people dislike one or more of the middle books and for me this was it- I mean I love character development but honestly there isn’t one big event I can think of that advanced the plot in this one - horrible! Hear the next one is back to really great story telling. It’s the mammoth I decided to read in March. Taking February off to read my romance and Black History month reads.
