#LarrySbrusch..I cut a lot of logs for my sawmill operation and budget does not allow me to buy a top of the line Stihl 460/461 chainsaw..so this was my next best buy and it turned out to be a sweet deal
The review covers the chinese made chainsaws: The X-Bull series CS6200 62 CC & The Extreme Power 52 CC Chainsaw. Both are very similar and run great
I also have an old homemade sawmill that I built and by finding great deals like this, it increases my profit margin in the log or wood slab business
Both of these saws were purchased off of ebay and I will try to post the links in description, but no guarantee if they will still have them or if any will be left to purchase as it seems the chinese keep making different chainsaws and just change the brand names
will be posting a follow up video after I run it and get it broke in good

I have the 62 cc X Bull myself. It's awesome! Starts reliably, runs reliably, has great power, cuts excellently, and sounds amazing. Unlike others who commented I don't have any quarrel with the chain. It's just fine by me. Keep it sharp. It's only the recoil assembly that I don't like. But it does work.

I heard the spark plug in then cheap saws is meant to be bad try replacing it and see if it starts easier you have most likely tried that and the xbull has pull assist thingy meaning you shouldn't pull the cord as hard as possible as it will break it

I have a Chinese saw ($83 62 cc 20" bar I found on Amazon). Runs good but let me tell you, it is a toy next to my big STIHL saw (MS 661 C-M with 91.1 cc motor and 36" bar) which can run a full comp chain in wood so deep the tip is buried, it'll still be screamin through. Those big saws STIHL makes can last over 20 years and that's gonna be the main difference. The Chinese saws are plastic casing instead of magnesium, as well as many other differences which make me think they probably would need a revamp before 2000 hours runtime. Fair for the price though. I'm not gonna complain. Sorry to hear that your STIHL didnt hold up. There are a few bad ones here and there just like all the manufacturers.

I've got a 52 and a 62, and they have been through the worst and just get better. People just can't believe. I don't care for China one bit, but facts are facts about the saws, these things won't stop. I've tried. The ones I have, have already left two huskys we had in the dust. No way I'm getting rid of mine, and I'm getting more for backup.

The Chinese clone chainsaws are not all 52cc as several people have commented. Except for some cosmetic differences, and a few functional differences, such as type of recoil starter or carburetor, they are all built on the same frame, handle, starter, engine, etc., but the "bore and stroke" of the engines are different, i.e., only the cylinder and piston size are different on the base engine. That is, you can replace the cylinder and piston on the 52cc engine to make it a 62cc engine, or vice versus. There are many KZfaq videos showing how to make this modification on a base Chinese clone chainsaw.

Try cleaning the spark arrestor in the old saw as it could be dirty and if you remove the spark arrestor it gives it a little more power but I'm pretty sure it's illegal as it can cause a fire but it's highly unlikely

Got 2 of the 52cc miracles Dropped the first one out the back of the jeep and ran over it with the log trailer. Broke the back handle smooth off. Still ran but to put it in a log would be unsafe. Thats now the parts pile. The second one ran just as good as the first, but the tank hose split at 6 months They used a black rubber instead of tygon. Going to go tygon and remote maple syrup bottle as a fuel tank. 20:1 12 hour break in then 25:1. Use less oil if you would run your tractor 4 quarts low. Same result.

Pretty sure it's not 62 cc. All the Chinese eBay chainsaw, regardless of advertised engine CC size are all 52 cc. Still, it's not a bad thing as they have really torque range. I purchased a generic 58 cc Chinese chainsaw (brand is Vehpro advertised 58 cc) and it looks pretty much the same as X-bull, minus the purge bulb, and has QuickStart. Does the X-Bull have QuickStart pull?

I ended up ordering an X-Bull on eBay which came with the spring assisted easy start system (as Husky and others are starting to use). My gut feel is that most of these Chinese saws are probably coming with this feature but at least in my case, they aren't coming properly assembled. The design of these easy start systems is gently but firmly pulling the cord is actually winding up tension on a spring and when the spring tension builds to overcome the engine's compression, the spring tension actually turns the engine over. I noticed on my X-Bull that it wasn't fully functioning this way out of the box. And after the first couple of times starting it, I actually had a problem where the start cord retracted part of the way but jumped off the pulley due to lack of tension in the spring. I had to open the saw up to get it untangled and then fixed the problem. First, it seemed like the pulley was binding a bit so I loosened the screw in it's center a bit to free it up. But the main issue is you need to rotate the pulley around "backwards" several rotations as you start to feel the spring tension build. I can't say exactly how much is the perfect amount but I put pretty decent tension on mine, probably 3-4 full rotations more than it started with, maybe more. As you're rotating it backward, the cord is going to want to wind itself up (but in the wrong direction). Pull the cord slack enough to keep it drawn away from the pulley as you rotate it backward. When you feel it's tight enough, go ahead and let the pulley unwind, winding the cord up. Once you put the saw back together, you should no longer be trying to yank it with a ton of force like "old school" saw starters. Just pull nice and steady until you get toward the end of the cord and it should release and turn over if you've preloaded the spring enough. How much you preload it will dictate how far out the cord is pulled before the spring overcomes engine compression. Hope this is helpful to you.

If it is starting to curve during a cut the left and right cutter links on your chain are not sharpened evenly. You may have rocked your chain or hit a nail or rock logged in some bark. The only effect the longer bar should have is a slight decrease in power.

Your welcome . It’s been a while since I have used a saw . But I use to work for the Us Forest service. I learned a lot of little tips and tricks. A cheaper saw works just as good as a expensive one if you maintain them properly you can even rebuild them when they get old and tired if you have more time than money.

If you can get the specs for any part's you can't find, you can machine them on a table top lathe since chainsaw parts are small, you shouldn't need a big lathe.

Run a 22" on the 52, just keep that bar dressed. Change out the sprocket and slap a 28" on that 62, you won't have to bend over as much. Break in with 1-25 mix on first tank and work up to 1-40. All the extras that come with them, chunk in the trash.

I just ordered a 62cc xbull chainsaw it will be here this Saturday. I have done some research and I believe the chain that's on it is a 0.325 0.058 76 tooth is that correct? I have been on Amazon and eBay trying to find a organ chain or a Husqvarna chain. Does the chain have to be 76 tooth test fit the X Bull Bar I think I did see a 72 tooth chain. Or has anyone had any luck with the knock-off chains. I bought a 38cc farmtek chainsaw last year and I put a Oregon bar and chain on it it only came with a powerhead and it has paid for itself five times over. Can I upgrade to a 22in bar or should I just keep the 20 in only on the Xbull . Need help finding a reasonably priced good chain.

@@shadmoney6617 I also have Vehpro, 58 cc but pretty sure it's 52 cc. Tons of plastic and very light, feels somewhat cheap but very easy to start, turns over on 2nd pull and has crazy torque, paid $80 on eBay.

@@mickeykim3559 Yeah the one I have says 58cc's on the side but it probably is 52. Like you say cheap plastic but it has a rather powerful motor. I bought a wooded half acre that I have pretty much cleared out with this saw. I paid $88 off of ebay and I wouldn't hesitate to pay it again. To be honest I would say that it has the same power as any high end commercial saw. On initial setup you may have to tighten the chain maybe twice but after that it's time to get down to business, lol. Would you agree?
