In this car detailing episode, i'm telling you why I stopped using paste wax for many years, my problems with it and why i'm giving it another chance with this GYEON WAX product, I'll go through a full car care product review, testing it's application, water repellent properties, paint slickness and much more. I'll show you how the car looks in the sun afterwards, I'll even do the first wash and continue to test the paint hydrophobics and get some insight about the durability of the ceramic wax ( fluorine based ).

Only paste wax I like using is Koch chemie so.01. It applies wet & dries like a paste. It’s great. I personally prefer to use a spray sealant like so.02 though most times. Both provide good durability and gloss on both is insane.

Interesting, never used those 2. always found so02 slightly too expensive for a sealant. cheers buddy.

@@Detailing_Dogma it is kind of expensive but one or two sprays per 2 by 2 section is all I’ve ever needed so a little goes a long way. I’ve done 4 or 5 cars with the bottle I have and still a bit left in it

The water behavior on Soft99 Fusso is just 😍 But more often than not I use KCx SO.02 or something my CarPro Hydr02 or Gyeon WetCoat.

Salut! Ma premiere application d'une cire fut celle de Turtle wax ceramic graphene paste wax. Facile d'application et à retirer, très bonne odeur , gloss vraiment insane et 8 mois de durabilité ( avril à décembre ). Ca m'a permis de prendre de la confiance pour installer ensuite une céramique quand la cire ne faisait plus effet. La clé est de bien préparer la surface avanr d'appliquer mais ça, je ne t'apprends rien! Si on est capable d'installer une cire, on peut installer une céramique sans problème! (Consumer grade) Je lis beaucoup de commentaire et bien des gens disent qu'une céramique passe difficilement 1 hiver, qu'en penses-tu? Ma céramique dure sauf sur les bas de panneaux, meme en appliquant du water spot remover pour enlever le sel, ca revient pas comme au jour 1. Merci et laches pas

Salut Jean-Marc et merci de partager ton experience personnel. Pour ce qui est des céramiques sa fait quelques années que je met des 1 an comme Cancoat et Moonlight parce que j'ai eu la meme experience que certains avec mon daily driver, mes coatings 2 / 3 ans survivrent l'hiver mais l'arriere du vehicule et les base de portes sont ''toasted'' meme avec des spray topper. J'ai eu carpro cquartz et CSL EXO de gtechniq. Alors ta qu'a sa je re applique des 1an et polissage au besoin mais les 1an on peut les rappliquer par dessus n'importe quoi. Par. contre je n'ai pas essayer les nouveau 3ans du style MOHS EVO sur mon vehicule personnel mais j'ai quelqu'uns en test que je dois voir pour validé. J'ai recu d'autres Mohs, Pure et Syncro alors reste à l'affut 😆

There’s literally no reason to ever use a paste wax now that coatings both spray and hand applied are so easy to use. Coatings are far superior to wax in durability. You can literally coat your car and then use a spray topper indefinitely and always have your car shiny and protected. I’ll refer back to an old saying….just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should do it!

totally agree with you, to my surprise I know many many people still using and buying paste wax, mostly beginners and inexperienced guys. Cheers my friend thanks for your wisdom as usual.

@@Detailing_Dogma really enjoy your videos…especially your accent😂! A side note I used Soft 99 Fusso Coat a few years ago and it’s good for what it is. It was a pain to apply and take off and for about two weeks it “ghosted or hazed” in spots. After that it did last about a year though. Haven’t used it since. Keep up the good work my friend!

Not entirely true. Waxes have better water spot etching resistance and some of the top hybrid waxes (like this one) have better water behavior than any spray sealant you can find and comparable to a ceramic coating. If you are not looking for longevity there are several waxes that perform better than most other products over short periods.
