Thunder shotgun is one of the most balanced guns in the game. It's strong. It's skillful. Without any strange mechanics. And sound of is great. Gold standart of shotgun

The mammoth pistol is not underrated at all, a lot of comp teams used it for surge in tournaments. I literally got headshot by a mammoth out of the sky. I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS

Definitely feel like the infantry rifle, and the DUB are highly underrated. Nobody talks about them despite their versatile nature and good damage

One of the most underrated shotguns is the ranger shotgun, it only had 1 bullet in the chamber but it had really good range and it hit hard

People can say anything about Ch4S3, but you've got to admit that the loot pool was crazy good. The season introduced weapons like the mammoth pistol, repeater rifle, sharp tooth shotgun or the mk alpha. And we still had stuff from earlier seasons like the havoc shotgun and the tactical pistol.

You know another underrated weapon The hammer ar I see very few people talking about this weapon and i have to say its one of my favorites

I feel like the storm scout is kinda underrated. I never hear anyone say anything about it

People overlook the evocrome at so much, the gun would upgrade depending on the damage u did all the way to mythic, which was broken, and the purple and gold versions were good too, it is very overlooked

One underrated item i think of is the dragonsbreath shotgun. A really fun shotgun to use in box pvp or normal games. Not only does it bassically do 200 on body damage if youre close enough, it also surrounds the area that was around you with fire that could sometimes burn the enemies.

The semi alto sniper is so good. I personally hold the idea that if you hit headshots the sniper’s damage doesn’t matter since it will kill. So a sniper having 10 chances to do that is great.

I know, i’m being a nerd, but the prime shotgun was actually in 2 seasons ( chapter 3 season 3, and chapter 3 season 4)

I was a Nemesis believer since the Striker nerf on season 1. can't believe they vaulted my boy.. still sad about it. the only AR that shot where i wanted it to this entire chapter

Two shot shotgun is heavily underrated. I would consider it the #1 most underrated gun currently in the game. It does insane damage currently, has the quickest pull-out time of any shotgun, and you can bleed shots through walls with it, if the walls low enough health and you shoot it, the 2nd shot will go through 100% of the time.

If the Kymera Ray Gun was released now, with Zero Build in the game and cars, I think it would be one of the best weapons this season. The meta in Ch 2 S 7 was heavily mobility based, so beaming people was too hard. It also didn't do enough build damage. Still, in my opinion, the most underrated weapon of all time.

enforcer ar is extremely underrated, but thats only because it was in the same season as striker ar was, imo enforcer is very very good, would like to see it in part 2!

Hammer and combat ar were underrated when they came out

the new mythic deagle has the same damage profile as the mammoth pistol (197 damage headshot), but it's a deagle that has 8 bullets in it. Also has a sight in it for extreme accuracy. idk why people are sleeping on the new deagle. its insane

I think the Burst Assault Rifle is another weapon that is rarely talked about. I mean pre-nerf it was one of the most overpowered gun but post-nerf it became one of the most balanced guns

the current hunter sniper is insane, i use it in creative a lot, it does 110 bodyshot and one-taps to the head (it just says 100 for some reason) but it does have a pretty slow bullet velocity

The mammoth pistol was even better with the arguments in that season. There was one that increased damage of the last bullets (which meant increased damage always because it had onlyone bullet) and other gave a chance that the pistol wouldn’t use any ammo, so sometimes you could shoot twice without reloading

I just love the Thunderpump, it did absolutey crazy Damage and a crazy Range. I personally liked the Spread of the Pump, you could hit more Shots.

My hot take is that the semi-auto pre-buff was one of the best snipers introduced. For duos or more especially, it was super easy to wipe squads or use it for 50v50 to rack up kills. Especially if they didn't have full shields since it would then one-shot to the head. That and the scoped AR were my most underrated CH1 weapons OG Blue burst was super underrated, everyone was a scar fanboy but the burst put in work. Was way better than the Famas imo. Even if maybe the stats don't support that. Just felt better to use A more recent one, Nemesis AR was super underrated. Especially in CH5S1, everyone wanted Nisha's striker but Montagues Nemesis was really good in my eyes. Suppresseed pistol was super overlooked, that thing could melt if you hit your shots consistently. And the OG-OG SMG was also not as bad as people said imo, but that might be a really hot take

The thunder shotgun was the best! I loved it. It was really great. I bought a wrap just for this gun and don't regret it

I feel like people slept on the regular burst smg because it did so much damage and bleed through builds but people overlooked it and didn’t carry it especially in chapter 2 season 2 which then they replaced it later that season with the rapid fire smg

My pick for an underrated weapon is the Sideways Rifle, It deals 50 damage per hit to the the body after the first shot with decent fire rate and it's reliably accurate at both close and long ranges

I only started playing in November 2023, but I liked the Hunter Bolt Action in Red Vs Blue, which is where I play around with the older weapons I also remember sharing the Pizza Party in C5S1 with my friends when the Ninja Turtle collab was happening

The nemesis AR was actually insane and could pretty much almost beat every gun in its time but at it's time everyone was talking about the striker thunder burst reaper sniper and warforged

In team game modes, you could also use the medmist to heal multiple teammates at the same time :)

honestly I think its hard to say for any reason other than nostalgia that any sniper is better than the Semi-Auto Sniper in its current state. No other sniper fires at that high of a rate, has that many bullets and can still one shot. The only things that come close are the Storm Scout which has a decent rechamber rate, good ammo and shows you the future zones and the Reaper sniper that until nerfs had insane velocity and could have up to 5 rounds with Drum Mag, but the Semi-Auto is still on top no questions asked. If you had any semblance of sniper skill during OG, there was no losing games

Thunder Shotgun, Twin mag Smg, Red dot rifle, Hammer, Shields. Favorite loadout from my favorite season. Had 170+ crown wins and 200+ regular wins and I’m a casual. God i miss that season.

The only reason I didn’t like the thunder was the sound. However, it was still really strong but personally I preferred its replacement: the havoc pump shotgun. Also the Hunter-Bolt-Sniper was my favorite sniper since its buff in chapter 3 season 4. But when the Reaper Sniper was released it took the place for my personal favorite sniper. Also the Hunter-Bolt- Sniper has the same bullet-traveltime as all other snipers with scope (except the reaper sniper) 4:14 this buff that the semi-auto sniper can oneshot happened in chapter 3 season 4 when they buffed every sniper in the vault and in game.

Thermal DMR around C4S3 and C4S4, the augments for this weapon (especially steady hands) made it a monster at mid range and I always picked it up if i had an augment slot remaining

I feel like chapter 3 has a lot of underrated weapons, particularly from season 3 and 4. One of these that I remember most people disliked but is now really good after its buff is the two-shot shotgun. I’ve used this a lot in creative after it got buffed and it is actually really good and very underrated now.

Any thoughts on the railgun? I mainly use that sniper in creative and without the travel time and the bullet going through a wall is insane I believe it should get some attention

Ranger shotgun. One ammo amazing range and damage but you have to be good with aim. They introduced it when they brought back the drum shotgun so it’s nearly completely forgotten

prime is actually terrible, its worse than the spas in every way just for it to do the same damage as it but only if you hit the first shot. Also the thunder should be replaced with the striker, the thunder has all the problems of the prime, slow reload, less ammo, bad spread, average damage. Striker had better reload, spread, range and damage then all these after the buff.

One of my favorites that I feel has gotten kinda forgotten is the Infantry Rife. Especially the Epic and Legendary version of it

Thunder Shotgun: me personally i never thought it was bad, even before the equip speed buff it was actually a fairly good shotgun and i think it actually competes with the current Pump that’s in Creative especially at lower rarities, only problem i have is the Reload, even at Gold it’s too slow to even consider for it to be a Common reload Hunter Bolt-Action: after the buff it was actually amazing similar to the Suppressed Sniper buff, I think the Reaper Sniper without any mods is actually worse since it’s a 10-11 damage difference and this is including if they have the same velocity, it also isnt underrated since it was used in FNCS a lot Semi-Auto Sniper: if it ever comes back and it’s exactly like that and we can mod the scope then it’ll be EASILY the best sniper contesting even against the OG Heavy Sniper in Damage, 10 shots with a 2.5/2.3 reload and it’s only Uncommon/Blue? jeez Med-Mist: when it was first in the game it was actually the best healing item but now i feel like it would need a buff/reworked buff due to medkits being so good, maybe more spray or something Pizza Party: not underrated aswell, especially when it came back in C4S3 it was so good it was actually nerfed fairly harsh Prime Shotgun: you are not wrong, before C5 it was the fastest equiping Pump-like Shotgun (0.35) that dealt 125 on the first shot on BLUE, it was used during FNCS for both S3 and S4 and is frankly slightly worse than the Thunder, Pump, and Havoc due to its standard Body Damage (since that’s the only balanced part about it lol) Mammoth Pistol: not underrated in the slightest, got emergency nerfed before the Havoc Pump and Combat SMG and had and still does have insane range with a good ADS Zoom Multiplier, you could also almost 2 shot someone or 1 tap in the head like you said

Augments need to come back, I know they were intended to at the start of season 5 but epic has gone silent about them. They added depth to the game and made it fun and interesting. Aswell gave you something to spend gold on

Genuine massive shoutouts to Chapter 3 Season 1 for dropping 4 really interesting healing items in one season, even if not all of them were fully hits, I did love shield kegs, med mist and pizza especially. They all give different strengths and weaknesses compared to running your bog standard medkit or minis or big pots.

I think the Prime Shotgun's Only downside, Is the reload time being 4.5 and not a flat 4.0. If its gonna be 1 shell per rough second, then it should be 1 shell per Second. Also, IMO the Machine SMG or more preferably named, Machine Pistol is Underrated as heck, All because it does pretty weak base damage, but the fire rate and resulting DPS is Still very good. When it first came out, it also had the hidden Bonus of Dealing extra structure damage, like the Stinger SMG. Why it was Nerfed slightly during Chapter 4 Season 1 is beyond me, It should have honestly stayed where it was. Maybe take the Damage to structures.

Yo you should do most OVERRATED guns in Fortnite!

For me its the combat pistol. Has a very tight spread and if you can control the recoil, you can mow people down with ease. A trick I use with the gun is I purposely let the recoil kick in so I can get some headshots for 58 damage. Easily my favorite gun in the entire game
