The dub is supposed to be a hybrid movment/shotgun, similar to the flint knock. It’s designed to be a little lacking in the dmg but to be supported with other weapons.

The dub should’ve honestly been replaced with the storm scout. The dub is really not bad. If you crouched you wouldn’t get knocked back, and if you were in somebody’s box, you could fire them into the wall. There really wasn’t much the enemy could do in this situation. It also had a super high dps, higher than that of most other shotguns. It could even be used to negate fall damage, which is something the original double barrel couldn’t do. The storm scout, on the other hand, was just a reskin sniper with no real purpose. There was no reason to pick it up in a game, and only did 90 damage per hit, almost making it worse than the clinger sniper.

agreeable, however I'd argue that The Boom Snipers biggest weakness is bullet velocity, if it was a guaranteed hit on someone it'd make up for it's flaws by just hitting someone 3 times on body or twice on head + they can't even box when clingered

I honestly don’t understand the concept of the dub exotic. A double barrel is meant to do high damage up close, but the dub pushes you further away…I get it can be used for movement, but I’d rather carry shockwaves or something. It saved gold and provided better mobility imo

All your points are always respectful and make sense, but the D.U.B. Has no right to be on this list. Its a flintknock that’s easier to hit at close range, allows you to mid air jump to your target for a closer shot without reloading, is a great mobility tool, great damage, and so much more. Why put it with the worst when it outclasses even the shockwave hammers best variants?

Fortnite weapons that should never come back sounds like a good video. Things like the reaper sniper, night hawk, primal shotgun, grapple blade, clinger, recon scanner, grenade launcher, recycler, mythic mk rifles, mythic scar, mythic minigun, exotic shotguns, etc. I think a great amount of guns in Fortnite would be good, but only if they had a massive nerf or buff. Imagine if the explosive bow had 5 explosives instead of 3, or if the reaper sniper had only 1 and 3 round mags.

Honestly in zero builds the boom sniper is useless but in builds it is one of my favorite guns ever.

I remember when me and my friend first saw “The Dub”. To be honest, we didn’t like it a whole lot, but after I knocked someone off Tilted Towers in Ch3 and after my friend stalled in the air with it to win a game, we at least found it hilarious 😂

i personally love the scoped revolver more than the normal one, its accuracy at long ranges is great and the fact that the hipfire crosshair is smaller what makes it easier to noscope/doublepump

As someone who really likes the scoped revolver. It’s best to use as a dmr for your medium to long range engagements but I get that it doesn’t do that much damage. I always loved the dog weapons

Tbh while I do agree to an extent with a lot of these points of “why use (exotic) when (normal weapon) exists?” and it applies for most seasons, there is a lot of context missing on when a lot of these were released and were in the game. The Dub and Boom Sniper both debuted in a season (C2S5) where your only traditional snipers were iirc the other exotic sniper, Mando's sniper (one on the map) and the worst weapon ever made (lever action rifle). Similarly for the dub, the pump was not in the game, your options were the charge, dragon's breath (lol), lever action shotgun and tac. The trade off isn’t as bad honestly when you put into context the metas and loot pools of the respective seasons. (Not defending the burst quad launcher though, genuinely what were they thinking lol)

Everyone has different opinions, but i think we can all agree that pushing people off those Chapter 3 Season 4 balloons with the dub shotgun was fun.

the only opinion in this video that I disagree with is the burst quad launcher, it IS really hard to hit shots but you can just hit them anywhere near them and since it has a huge AOA it will still do crazy damage but that's not the reason I disagree, it's because of the sheer about of pressure you can put on another player, if someone shot 8 rockets at me, even if I took 0 damage, I would practically shit myself

Honestly I feel like exotics were made just to add an extra rarity mythics are so much better and in my opinion i feel like even the bad mythics still had some use in some situations or aspects while the bad exotics feel useless and soulless in my opinion don’t get me wrong there are a few fun and interesting exotics but there really isn’t any other weapons that match up to mythics in the exotic category once again this is my opinion don’t take this as me being a hater i just like mythics more
